She has a group of friends which they do daily activities with, watch TV with. Colleen, the Executive Director, and Sarah, the lead nurse are so knowledgeable in what they do and truly put resident needs first. Unlike many other communities, they have a nurse on site 24/7, allowing them to support the various care needs of their residents around the clock.Overall, beautiful community, quality care and friendly staff.

Intercommunity Care Center is a 147 bed Skilled Nursing Facility which specializes in providing care to the confused, wandering, geriatric person since 1965. The facility provides a secured environment. The main entrance doors and perimeter fences are locked permitting residents to wander throughout the facility and its outside walkways and patios, while maintaining as safe an environment as possible.
Twenty-four hour Skilled Nursing Care is provided through the use of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants.
There is a full-time social service person on duty five days a week. A clinical social worker is available on a consulting basis. These persons handle problems of a psychosocial nature.
A full-time activity program provides activities geared to this type of resident both in interest and ability. Individual and group, as well as indoor and outdoor activities are available. Emma Worrell: My aunt was at Catered Manor for almost 2 years. She liked the activities and playing bingo. She didn’t like the food much. My only complaint is that they are very under staffed to be able to take care of the patients.

Our administrator Emelyn Lawler cares for the well-being of our patients and her employees which I think is very important for the success of a Nursing Facility. Catered Manor has nurses that care deeply for their patients for example Rocio LVN she goes above and beyond to care for her patients or Maria L. CNA she is always attentive to her patients needs. Also Alicia our activities director she works hard to make sure patients are entertained and have smooth visitations every single day. I love working at Catered Manor and as I’m reading this negative comments I’m sure they are exaggerated negative opinions and I do not agree with them.

Dylan Lawler: My great Uncle stayed here at Catered Manor for half a year due to hair fractures in his spine causing him tremendous pain in his back. Nurses always took extreme care with him and helped/answered his requests for help without a second thought. Definitely would recommend others.

Paul Muns: I had 3 days to suddenly find an Assisted Living Facility in the area for my father. His dementia had come to the point where I had to take all responsibility. I met with the friendly staff person and explained my needs and was shown the facility. I found an ideal room for him and they made it a very easy and relaxed transition for him and me. I felt assured that the staff could handle his needs--which have gotten "personal". He as been there now for 4 months and has made many friends of the other residents who help him get to functions on time. There have been several special events arranged such as a trip to the Aquarium and a group viewing of the Long Beach harbor Fourth of July fireworks display. Resident's families were invited to a summer bar-b-que, and a lovely Thanksgiving dinner, both with entertainment.The staff is used to him tagging along behind looking to be helpful during their busy schedules. Louisa keeps his medicines and doctor's visits coordinated while Leanna leads exercise and other activities. Jennifer and Jocelyn harmonize the overall operation at the front office but are often seen "hands-on" as well during my visits. The caregivers have notified me of special situations that have arisen so that I could quickly solve the need and I appreciate their watchfulness and concern.
Robin Hart: My sister and I were very anxious about putting our 92 year old mother into assisted living. The media reports so much abuse, loneliness and desultory living conditions. Villa Redondo is a dream come true--the staff is super respectful, patient and kind with my feisty Mom, who has dementia and has no qualms about voicing her discontent when it arises! Mom loves her room, has many friends, eats like a horse and it's very clear she feels like she's in a loving and protected environment. I went there the other day feeling guilty because I hadn't been there the day before and Mom said to me: "I'm busy, can you come back later?" Wow, right?!

Pamela Jophryn-Avila: I arrived and was greeted by a receptionist in the lobby. With a warm smilr she provided me with the directions and details to get to my visit. The halls were clean, and free of trash and trays. The staff appeared friendly and helpful. I noticed there were no board with the names of the RN, LVN, CNA, and doctor for the day. Usually fresh water is passed out, I did not see no water pitcher or cup near bedside. I hope this infomation will be helpful and it will help the other visitors in the near future as well.
Kevin Jones: I visited a friend today at your facility and the reception area personnel were wonderful. The facility was clean, no bad odors that are common to convalescence residents. I was very impressed.
