Arlene Jaffee: Every season the Long Beach International City Theatre surprises us. Leaves us walking out wanting more. And then waking up the next day still talking about it.This season, that surprise is Under the Skin, by playwright Michael Hollinger. This is a sly, witty but very poignant play that does what all great live drama does: Grabs you and takes you somewhere you didn’t expect to go with its very simple but very profound message. The acting, staging and crisp direction quickly transport you into this drama. Intermission and all, it’s over before you know it – and you wish it wasn’t.The professionals at ICT know what they are doing. They have out-done themselves this time.
Jessie: I saw tick tick boom here. Great cast and band. Sound is absolutely amazing in this theatre. I just wish they had more budget on lighting/stage.
Judy Kiriyama: I am thrilled that the ICT is back, live! A few years ago, I "won" tickets at a silent auction, though I had never heard of ICT. We have been season subscribers since! The venue is small and the seats are comfortable so it's the perfect place to enjoy a play.
Daniel: I saw a symphony here when I was in middle school I thinkI love this area especially during November and DecemberThose pics were on November 20th 2020
Cynthia J Hampton: Performance was outstanding! Beautiful small theater.
Daniel Carlos: Review: Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill, at the International City Theatre, through November 3rd.Billie Holiday is born again through Karole Foreman's brutally honest performance, which is impeccably acted and sung. It recreates one of the jazz legend's last concerts. Supporting Foreman's performance is Musical Director Stephan Terry as piano man, lover, caretaker, confidante Jimmy Powers. With deep humanity, Lady Day sings the unvarnished truth about her struggles with racism and addiction. Wren T. Brown masterly directs this unspairing tour de force Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill. This unbroken 90 minute play is not to be missed!
Yvonne Reitz: Great shows, great venue, love caryn, Denis et al who make it all happen at ICT!
Glo Merci: Lovely Thatre beautifully decorated. Excellent friendly staff. Located in the Long Beach convention Center. They do put on excellent plays. They serve snacks and cocktails. If you subscribe they do have money saving. Packages. Check it out if you have the opportunity.
Greg Raizk: Very nice theatre
