Long Beach Playhouse: what do users think?

Kimberly Jacobson: I love this little theater! Just saw In the Heights and the ensemble was fantastic. The intimacy of the seating really adds to the experience, you're right there up close and personal with the actors. Speaking of seats, they're very comfortable.

Lisa Kinsey: Nice time😃

Donna Wong: One of the longest running theaters. We saw a well played Holmes and Watson. They did a wonderful job creating the falls and the set was minimal for the space but adequately created the scene. Wonderful live theater.

Lauren K: HIDDEN GEM! I am frankly embarrassed I have lived in Long Beach so long and drove by this little theater for years before checking it out. I had such a delightful time spending my Friday evening enjoying local theater. I will definitely be back. GO SUPPORT LBP!!!! You won’t be sorry.

Doug King: Great and intimate place to see a play. Recommeded.

maxine franklin: was extremely well done, the staff was nice, and the venue had great, close up seating.

Martin Flax: Outstanding production

jordan Creagh: Very good .

Blair Stanford: Tiny venue but very fun and entertaining shows. Easy access from I-710 highway and major surface streets. Parking structure neighboring property.

Jarrell Pyro Johnson: The best little theater in the state. Everyone is so friendly. I go for the shows but I stay for the community and the staff. Made me feel like family. I can't wait for the next big show.

Amanda Salazar: This place is great. I love going to their shows. They have a unique sense of theater and it makes it an exciting show. They draw in crowds of all ages but some shows are more for the younger generations. I go back here sometimes and I think you should check them out sometime. They are great for a date night.

Nancee Perez: Cute venue but small!

International City Theatre: what do users think?

Arlene Jaffee: Every season the Long Beach International City Theatre surprises us. Leaves us walking out wanting more. And then waking up the next day still talking about it.This season, that surprise is Under the Skin, by playwright Michael Hollinger. This is a sly, witty but very poignant play that does what all great live drama does: Grabs you and takes you somewhere you didn’t expect to go with its very simple but very profound message. The acting, staging and crisp direction quickly transport you into this drama. Intermission and all, it’s over before you know it – and you wish it wasn’t.The professionals at ICT know what they are doing. They have out-done themselves this time.

Jessie: I saw tick tick boom here. Great cast and band. Sound is absolutely amazing in this theatre. I just wish they had more budget on lighting/stage.

Judy Kiriyama: I am thrilled that the ICT is back, live! A few years ago, I "won" tickets at a silent auction, though I had never heard of ICT. We have been season subscribers since! The venue is small and the seats are comfortable so it's the perfect place to enjoy a play.

Daniel: I saw a symphony here when I was in middle school I thinkI love this area especially during November and DecemberThose pics were on November 20th 2020

Cynthia J Hampton: Performance was outstanding! Beautiful small theater.

Daniel Carlos: Review: Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill, at the International City Theatre, through November 3rd.Billie Holiday is born again through Karole Foreman's brutally honest performance, which is impeccably acted and sung. It recreates one of the jazz legend's last concerts. Supporting Foreman's performance is Musical Director Stephan Terry as piano man, lover, caretaker, confidante Jimmy Powers. With deep humanity, Lady Day sings the unvarnished truth about her struggles with racism and addiction. Wren T. Brown masterly directs this unspairing tour de force Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill. This unbroken 90 minute play is not to be missed!

Yvonne Reitz: Great shows, great venue, love caryn, Denis et al who make it all happen at ICT!

Glo Merci: Lovely Thatre beautifully decorated. Excellent friendly staff. Located in the Long Beach convention Center. They do put on excellent plays. They serve snacks and cocktails. If you subscribe they do have money saving. Packages. Check it out if you have the opportunity.

Greg Raizk: Very nice theatre

Long Beach Landmark Theatre Company: what do users think?

Jason Bottrell: and the view was good.

Evan: I've had friends perform here in various musicals, but RENT was the first show I came to see. At first, the idea of doing Broadway shows in a chapel worried me that the show could possibly be edited for content, but I was very surprised. While the downtown, civic center of Long Beach is modernizing, the neighborhood isn't the nicest at night. The venue is amazing, one of the grandest houses of worship I've seen in Long Beach. The performance space may be compact but every space is utilized to it's fullest. The seats are wooden pews, so ....not the most comfortable of surfaces. The production value is beyond that of community theater. These actors showed a level of skill beyond tenured national touring casts I've seen at The Pantages. I'm definitely going back to see future shows.

Lanette Kumamoto: Beautiful historic church! It is a great job in using this space as a theater without messing with the integrity.

SA: Great shows!

Nicolassa Galvez: Great musical theatre!

Minute Talks: Quality live musical theater performance despite a small stage. I've seen it twice. Watch it for this weekend shows.

Robin Gray Ballard: Closer than Ever was great. Love the venue and the basket of handmade blankets for chilly evenings was great.

Don Clay: Timely probing material contemporized, and terifficly portrayed. "Closer Than Ever" was indeed, closer than ever. This supurb cast, and supporting "crew" made it so...giving each character engaging life in encountering existing dilemmas in the adventure we refer to as living this life. A TREMENDOUS experience in musucal theater. Another superb L.B. Landmark production!

Reena Burt: What a gem of a place! Would come back to see other productions to support the small theatre groups.

Said Judeh: Nice

David Robertson: Small and quaint. Great acoustics. The seats could be better, but a great venue to see a production.

Debra Scalice: Que Sera Sera! Ernest Borgnine is honorably remembered by the theater that bears his name. I came here with my husband to watch the recent wonderful performance about Doris Day. The theater has a dedicated parking lot immediately next door making it very convenient. Upon entry, one is struck by the dramatic entry into a 90 year old building that is beautifully iconic. I gave the performance a 5 for the performer's tslents including the live musicians. There is a sizable lounge that serves snacks and beverages during intermission. My original review was removed for some unknown reason. However, I'm re- reviewing in the hopes that theater patrons will be stirred to give this venue a try. It really is a pleasure to watch live entertainment!!!

Parsing Person: Absolutely beautiful historic theater with excellent parking. Breathtaking!

The Aurora Theater: what do users think?

Christi Vynece: Charles was the perfect host for our small private screening. He made us feel welcome like family. He was so helpful throughout the entire process. Will definitely highly recommend and I will use this space again.

Jojo Matino: Had an amazing night last night at the Aurora Theater in Long Beach. I hosted a surprise bachelorette party for my sister and it was the perfect location.Charles was so accommodating and very helpful. The unique 1940’s style was a hit and my sister, family, and friends absolutely loved it. Price was well worth it and I would highly recommend this location to friends for any type of get together that includes small performances. We had Drag queens perform and it was amazing. Love the vibes, lights, music, and overall atmosphere of the theatre. Thanks Charles. We will definitely be booking in the future.

Edward Espinoza: Great location to learn the art of acting and other theater and film services.

Adam Wolven: Dope little theater! Intimate little venue with lots of character. Cool old school seats with snack and drink holders

Robert Koepke: Beautiful little theater! I would love to take a class here some day. The acting coach that owned the theater was very pleasant and I felt like that place did a lot of amazing things. Great place!

Joaquin Garay III: An amazing experience. What a beautiful place!

Sandy Graves: So happy to have found the Aurora Theater. Wanted to find a venue for a small covid safe birthday celebration, where we could have a movie night for our family. With our Disney+ account, the owner Charles was able to set up for us a completely private screening of the new Raya and the Last Dragon film. The independent play house seats 40-50, but was the perfect size for the 10 of us to spread out and be socially distanced, yet feel together. The inside of the theater is beautiful, with vintage seating from the 1940s. The price was affordable, as they are running a special rental price of $20/person for 3 hours.Charles was great to work with. He put so much work into his theater, and his passion for it shows. He is flexible and open to ideas. If you are looking for a safe and unique place to have a movie or game night with your group, I would highly recommend this theater!

Kim Jones: Great place for acting lessons. The theater is a perfect place to try out your work as well. Perfect size, intimate setting and an easy to get to space.

Irving Ortiz: First time visiting for stand up comedy show of beginner comedians. They did a great job. Shows they put a lot of effort into their craft. Teachers must be awesome here.

Kelly Jean Brown: I love how the theater turned out. Beautiful space, nicely designed, great lighting and wonderful vibe. A job well done!
