Taboon Mediterranean: what do users think?

Arielle McConneaughey: Don’t sit outside. Until they get fans to keep the flies away but besides that, HOLY COW THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! Hummus was out of this world! Portions were just wowowowowow and the flavor of everything… I’m sorry I wish I had more words but this mediterranean restaurant has my heart. After doing two weeks in Greece this is by far the closest to CLEAN medi. Food I’ve had since being back in the states. Had the lamb chops and chicken kebabs!

Ibrahim Gammoh: Fantastic service and food. ...

Nesh M: My mom and I discovered taboon a few months ago because of recommendations from the LB food group and the food is excellent! We have brought family from out of state to eat here and we love to stop in for lunch. Some of our favorites are the chicken shawarma bowl, fatoush salad, falafel and the baklava for dessert is delicious!

Paul Skaar: Fantastic food. Great prices. I'd recommend sitting inside. Can't wait to get back.Vegetarian options: Plenty

Open Sesame: what do users think?

Arnie Cuarenta: I was visiting the area and my sister and brither-in-law introduced me to this place. Lentil soup and baba ghannouj are items I order when trying out a new Middle Eastern restaurant. YUM! Open Sesame exceeded my expectations on flavor and quality of food and the customer service. I was surprised that the owner came by and checked in on our experience.

Graham Goldman: The ambiance was inviting, with traditional decor that transported me to Lebanon. The menu offered a delectable array of Middle Eastern dishes, from mouthwatering kebabs to creamy hummus. The flavors were rich and authentic, capturing the essence of Lebanese cuisine. The friendly staff and prompt service added to the overall delightful experience. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their delicious offerings.

John Enright: My atmosphere rating is for the sidewalk tables. What a lovely afternoon in Long Beach! My leisurely lunch started with friendly and efficient service from the person at the front podium. She continued to help guests and passers-by in a kind manner during the two hours I stayed for lunch. The spicy vegetable soup was harira, but blended. Very interesting! The recommended flatbread was okay. The cheese and tomatoes were not attached to the bread. So it reminded me of bruschetta. The recommended Palestinian red wine was just okay. I switched to something else for the second glass.Vegetarian options: Plenty here to choose from: foods prepared from eggplant, lentil, garbanzo, and a vegetarian soup as well.

Grace C: Open sesame combo- a variety of meats. The beef kabob, chicken tawoon and kafta, and rice were all delicious.Chicken kafta- tasty, but beware a little spicy due to the black pepperJalab drinkTabouleh was very flavorful and freshThe open sesame salad was good too.

Jonathan Shibley: The tabbouleh was excellent. The rice was tasty but should have been brown rice instead of white the rose water flavored ice cream is divine. But all of the other dishes I had there where excellent. Hopefully the owners will see this review and make sure they put enough lemon juice and garlic as well as cumin in their next batch of hummus. Finally I would suggest to them they cover the hummus with sumac and olive oil.

Kerri Ray: The hostess was not very welcoming and somewhat off-putting the way she informed us there were no daily specials half off wine. It could have been a little more professional. We were seated on the patio which was nice. Our server was a bit slow and brought whole wheat pita bread after the third request. We are not familiar with Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered the chicken tawook, which was excellent. My husband ordered the arayas pita sandwich, which he didn’t care for. Just not his type of cuisine. There was a good menu selection and when in town, I would definitely return to try more menu items.

The Green Olive Mediterranean Cuisine: what do users think?

ada yung: .

Kaisha Brownlee: Who would have thought that tucked away inside a liquor store lies a culinary treasure trove of Mediterranean flavors? I recently stumbled upon The Green Olive, nestled within Liquor Land, and I can confidently say that it's a hidden gem worth discovering. The first thing that caught my attention was the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Despite being located within a liquor store, Green Olive has managed to create a warm and intimate space that feels separate from its surroundings. The charming decor, soft lighting, and comfortable seating make it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at The Green Olive is a true testament to the richness and diversity of Mediterranean cuisine. From classic dishes to unique creations, they offer a wide array of options to please any discerning palate. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of the flavors. One standout dish I had the pleasure of savoring was the mouthwatering lamb kebabs. Grilled to perfection, the tender and succulent lamb was seasoned with aromatic herbs and spices, delivering a burst of flavor in every bite. Accompanied by a refreshing tzatziki sauce and a side of fluffy rice, it was a satisfying and well-balanced meal. The service at The Green Olive was friendly and attentive. Despite the bustling environment of the liquor store, the staff members took the time to make me feel welcome and ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions to enhance my meal. What surprised me, even more, was the impressive selection of spirits available within Liquor Land. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a wide variety of wines, craft beers, and spirits conveniently located just steps away from my table. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience, as I was able to pair my meal with a perfectly selected beverage. In conclusion, The Green Olive inside Liquor Land is a hidden gem that combines the best of Mediterranean cuisine with the convenience of a nearby liquor store. The delectable flavors, inviting ambiance, attentive service, and the added bonus of a well-stocked spirits section make it a unique and enjoyable destination for food lovers and spirits enthusiasts alike. If you're looking to satisfy your cravings for Mediterranean delicacies while exploring an unexpected culinary setting, The Green Olive is the perfect spot. Koftegi: what do users think?

Khwaja Ahmed: Oh boy, this is the spot my guys. The spot we’ve all been waiting for. You can get loaded on all the cheese and meat you need without feeling like trash. The meat here is hella well done. Like damn the chicken has got FLAVOUR. The beef in all its beautiful forms, MOUTHWATERING. The cheese in so many varieties you’d think they’re inventing new types in the back. Don’t forget them them eggs either, pair hella well with the cheese. We came through for a brother’s birthday breakfast and did we get to it. Plate after plate and kabob after kabob. And somehow they’ve done less damage than a single pancake at Denny’s. Don’t sleep on that Turkish tea after either. Stuff is the perfect pre and post meal drink. Staff is hella dope too so be nice and tip em!

Hadram Alhadrami: Great food

Aia Suliman: The food is sooooo delicious 👍👍

Moe R: Excellent Turkish cuisine , my sister took me there for lunch . Got to eat traditional Turkish food for the first time in my life . Everything was delicious and tasty .This business is family run business. Everyone very helpful and glad you are there . They make good recommendations and explain food to you if you are new to this Cuisine . Highly recommend this place . Hard to find in the complex but good things are hard to find . Good luck .

Hande Saganak: Small but very nice Turkish food. Everything was very delicious. We ate iskender kebab, beyti kebab and lahmacun. Drank a glass of ayran and salgam. After our meal we had Turkish tea that was very fresh made and delicious. They serve Turkish breakfast whole day. But we were in the area only for a day. So we bought some simit, asure and sutlac to go 😋There was a small parking lot where was very convenient and easy to park.

Omar Omran (Student OVHS): . In-addition the costumer service was excellent. The experience was breath-taking 10/10. Definitely recommended.
