Tristan Williams: An exceptional bookstore. Everything from children's books, to sci-fi novels, to California history, to religious ephemera. Lots of vintage books too, and reasonably priced. Cannot recommend this place enough.

souxiewoozie: One of my favorite ways to pass the time is to pop in to this little spot. Something for every one here. I always leave with a full bag of books and haven’t spent a fortune. I wish they had more locations. This store may seem small on the outside but it is packed with so much inside. Very helpful staff and the most helpful and sweet owner too.
John Nguyen: Great little bookstore. They have quite the eclectic mix of books to satisfy any bookworms. I was able to start my cookbook collection here while I attended culinary school.

As a former independent, secondhand bookstore worker I always look for a store with careful and thoughtful curation. You can find rare books, the best selection of art books, and so much more, it’s a huge spot. Looking forward to being a regular.

D&D Explorers: Great selection of books or hard to find ones, vintage and new, friendly service. Street parking.Note: it is a warehouse so it does get a bit warm in some isles even with all the fans they have.
Christopher Jacob (CHDesign): Classic used book store, wall to wall selection, some great science fiction along with some rarities, first editions etc. Give it a visit if your in the area 📚✨️✌️

Kyle Taborski: Walk into the Hangout and right at the front at the left is my favorite opinionated bookstore. She has curated the books to reflect her and all her customers. It’s fantastic. The shop runs several book clubs which are good too.
Lori Baralt: The bookstore, inside The Hangout on 4th street, is a Long Beach gem! It is small, but with an amazing collection for adults, babies, and everyone in between! The collection is very current with a focus on BIPOC authors and social justice issues. I have mainly bought children's books here for my own kids and as gifts and I absolutely love the selection and find something new and wonderful each time I visit! The owner, Jhoanna, is lovely and happy to talk all things book and bookstore-related. I hope to participate in one of their book clubs at some point. I also recommend signing up for the newsletter!
Nicole Seymour: Amazing local shop with all the best new books on social issues as well as "leisure reading," kids' books, etc. They regularly hold community events online and in person. So glad they're part of Long Beach!

Marvin Hart: The drink selection is always changing and has something for everyone. Right now they have Makku available, which is a really interesting Korean rice based beverage, and I also really enjoyed the frozen rose to cool down. I've had a great selection of ciders here as well including some unique hard to find ones.
Raye Newell: This place is one of my favorite places to just be! Only place I go for all things recovery-related. Richard is so knowledgeable, open and friendly. I give my highest recommendation. If I could give more stars, I would.

Deni Marie: Decent book selection. Prices are a bit higher compared to other book stores. Lots of anime choices, which I did like.

DeAnn Ford: Love Bookoff!!! I specifically go there for DVD's. 95% of the time they have what I'm looking for. I've purchased numerous items from there. Tv, DVD player, DVD and a camera. I'm looking for a Super Nintendo. Hope I come across one.

Hikkachu: I loved the huge variety of books, games and figures in this store. I was looking forward to seeing this in the US after going to the main chain in Japan.The store was very dark. The tall shelves and ceiling lights made it hard to feel comfortable. We were the only ones in the store, so browsing felt almost surreal. A good one-time visit for novelty, but I don't think I'll be going back during my next trip to LA.
