Lorena Arellano: This place feels good and cozy, is clean and kept neat and organized. Sad to hear the owner just passed and business may soon close or be sold. Didn't find the double book cover in black and couldn't place an order because of this uncertainty. I know I could order on line, but love the people interaction and just stopping by if in the area... old school 💕

Marvin Hart: The drink selection is always changing and has something for everyone. Right now they have Makku available, which is a really interesting Korean rice based beverage, and I also really enjoyed the frozen rose to cool down. I've had a great selection of ciders here as well including some unique hard to find ones.
Raye Newell: This place is one of my favorite places to just be! Only place I go for all things recovery-related. Richard is so knowledgeable, open and friendly. I give my highest recommendation. If I could give more stars, I would.

Kevin Banks: Great customer service
Kyle Taborski: Walk into the Hangout and right at the front at the left is my favorite opinionated bookstore. She has curated the books to reflect her and all her customers. It’s fantastic. The shop runs several book clubs which are good too.
Lori Baralt: The bookstore, inside The Hangout on 4th street, is a Long Beach gem! It is small, but with an amazing collection for adults, babies, and everyone in between! The collection is very current with a focus on BIPOC authors and social justice issues. I have mainly bought children's books here for my own kids and as gifts and I absolutely love the selection and find something new and wonderful each time I visit! The owner, Jhoanna, is lovely and happy to talk all things book and bookstore-related. I hope to participate in one of their book clubs at some point. I also recommend signing up for the newsletter!
Nicole Seymour: Amazing local shop with all the best new books on social issues as well as "leisure reading," kids' books, etc. They regularly hold community events online and in person. So glad they're part of Long Beach!

Thomas Boyer: Always have fun when I visit, there is so much great material for people who still enjoy magazine and newspapers and the staff is so helpful.
Father Paul Spellman: Stop here to find cool magazines! Football.... basketball.... baseball..... and Formula 1 car racing! Plus music.... business..... and special editions of the Grateful Dead! Parking can be a challenge..... so I take my bike....😁
