The Rinks - Lakewood ICE: what do users think?

Art Echeverria: kids love it when not crowded

Tom Buck: This place is awesome. 10/10I enrolled in the adult Learn to Play class last month and can't say enough good things about it. I originally tried a class at a rink closer to me, but even though it was aimed at beginners there were a lot of advanced players there. It ended up being pretty dangerous and I got concussed/injured because of it. Hockey is a physical sport and huge skill gaps can make things unsafe pretty quickly. At Lakewood, they were super clear to only let beginners join the class and it created an awesome atmosphere. Plus it's totally free! Everyone gets a jersey to keep and you can borrow equipment if you don't have any. So you can literally show up with zero gear, money, or experience and learn the basics of hockey. The instructors were amazing, and even in a big class they took time to explain everything, be encouraging, and answer any questions. I loved the mini shooting and skating clinics, and the scrimmage game during the final class was a ton of fun. I honestly wish the class was longer because I'd love to keep going. There's a rookie league you can join after the class, which is great because a lot of rinks start a B/C league, which is really to advanced for anyone just getting going. I'd definitely do it if I lived closer, but unfortunately it's just a bit too far for me.The facility itself is definitely not brand new, but I love it. It's got "vibes" as the kids say, and I think that's because everyone there has worked to create a place that's fun and encouraging to people of all skill levels. They really know what they're doing and they do it really well.

Craig Emmert: Really slippery, Ha-ha! Always busy with Families there, YD?Dutchmans slipped in with an out leave Dry Rot without!J.S. Googles Great, guaranteed ......

Michael Woolbright: Broom hockey with the fraternity

Louie soft - peaceful -: Nice, first time - not too crowded - our kids loved it. You see the profecionals at one side and the beginners as my kids on the other side. Safe for everyone

Brewski Pit: 1st time at this place. Looks lonely but there was a small crowd. I think it was alright for the price. Many skate sizes. The additional help stands and kids dolphin are a bit pricey but we had the best time on a rainy day.

Franklin Perkins: Staff was friendly and it was easy to get in and get our stakes.

Marchanna Brown: Super Fun

Rachael J.: My first time at this facility in The Rinks network. I’ve been to two others. I came during public hours. There was the holiday/winter break from school crowd. There are 3 sheets here. They were all in use when I visited. It was nice to take a peek at a hockey game and high level figure skaters on the other two rinks. The public rink was big. The ice was kinda bumpy in spots and it drops off around the entrance to the ice so you have to step over “mind the gap” style. The rink is surrounded by a shopping center, so parking wasn’t a problem.

Pasquale Flammia: Nice facility three rinks the only thing I don't like is the metal benches they are too cold to sit on not appropriate for a hockey rink they are in the smaller rink used mainly for practice there's also an upper deck on the full size rinks with tables and chairs

Adam Wolven: Love this place. They make hockey really accessible for adults.

Denise Gwennap: Ice, ice, baby 🏒Always a great time here!!!

Brenda Pek: Bring a jacket, it's really cold inside

LA Kings Iceland in Paramount: what do users think?

Rachael J.: I’ve been here twice. So, I’ve only been here since the renovation and it being part of the LA Kings network of rinks.I really like it. It’s nice and clean. The ice is consistent in quality. It’s not crowded when I’m available to skate. They just opened the pro shop but I haven’t had my blades sharpened there yet. I just wish they had public hours before 3pm. They have their own parking lot but street parking is available too.

Minh: Really awesome ice rink. The price is actually the best in many, many towns! I like that they include skate rental as well! Their blades are always shop with the Pro-stride Hockey store right inside! They also resurface the ice very often. I really like seeing that they smooth out the ice after every session. Many classes are taught here as well and it is very family friendly! The workers here are pretty good at their job and do their best to share their knowledge. I can trust their support in choosing skates or learning how to skate.I would give 5 stars but I do not appreciate the strictness of some of the supervisors, or supervisor wannabes here. I shouldn’t have to deal with 21 questions if I have a coupon or if I want to sharpen my blades. It’s also silly that I have to show my physical student ID every time, as if I got expelled from school last week.Besides the administrative stuff,Iceland Paramount is the best ice rink in many, many towns!

Mark Jacobs: New upgrades have made a huge difference.

Vincent Ju: Nice rink. Clean, good seating.

Shannon O: This place is 100% The Original!!! You want to visit this wonderful ice rink! It is the birthplace of the ZAMBONI!!! This place set the standard and it’s beautifully well maintained! The staff are friendly and professional! They are very helpful which is great especially for first time skaters. We had a family birthday party and it was a perfect location! The room was clean and ready for use as soon as it was time for our party. We had people in our group that had some experience and others that had never set foot in a skate. We opted to have a basic lesson at the start of our session and it was well worth it!Aveneth was our instructor and she was fabulous with a large group! She was attentive to different levels and was able to assist everyone who needed the help. Her support and encouragement went a long way! The majority of our group can’t wait to skate again and already are thinking about our next outing!Thank you so much for hosting us, Iceland!Pro Tip: If you are going skating or having an event… it’s cold. Brink a hat and gloves if cold weather affects you. Yup, it’s an ice rink! But dress warm and in layers! If you skate, you might warm up so just be prepared.

Randy Butler: It was my first time back in 50 years! I was a little disappointed to see the hot gril gone with only a vending machine. I enjoyed watching the game and going down memory lane thinking of Mr Zamboni testing equipment.

MR. H: Great ice skating for the whole family!!

Adam Wolven: Great rink! Skate rental is included in the price for public skating. Friendly crowd. Clean, new facility.

Luis Martinez: Excellent service.

The Skating Edge Ice Arena: what do users think?

Edward Ruiz: It is beat up and worn down but still a great place to skate. Needs a remodel of the seating area and food concessions. Family friendly and helpful staff.b

Judi Jensen: Great place to skate.

Pasquale Flammia: Want to see friends play ice hockey nice ring well maintained they have handicap parking in the front and the back side easy entrances for handicap will be returning to watch Friends play again

Edmund Souder: Been coming here for 27 years. For adult hockey, iceangeles.com does a good job. The rates are reasonable and while the ice isn’t perfect, it’s plenty good enough. The locker rooms are clean.

April Boos: We really like this ice rink. My 6 year old was taking lessons before covid and it was one of the only acticities we put her in that she really liked. Prices are very reasonable. Also took my nephew to watch the LMU hockey game which was pretty cool too. Cant wait till they open back up!

Denise Gwennap: My son said the ice was good 😎

The Rinks - KHS ICE: what do users think?

Korren Golden: Love playing Broomball here!

john zhou: The KHS has finished its update totally. Looks much better than before.

Mimi James: It's cold!

Judy Strang: Very cold but the best place for less-crowded public skate sessions in the area. Rink is smaller than others but this is one of those less-well known local spots for ice skating.

Irin Griffin: Fun place to go

Truc Bao Bui: This rink is great! it's a nice area to practice skating and the price is reasonable. I also like that it's nice and cold inside.

Kevin Mahoney: They have TONS of sticktime and pickup almost every day. That's awesome. Ice is usually cut well. They have 2 rinks, locker rooms and showers. The arena is older though, and it's a little more expensive than other places.

Sara Showkeir: Ok

LA Kings Ice: what do users think?

SNOWMAN Max: Very nice and well maintained. It's just that the deep pits in the ice layer need to be strengthened and repaired.

Elise S: Friendly staff and reasonable price.

Brandon: This place has been here for decades and enjoyed by generation to the next.Staff here are always friendly and their rented equipment are in good condition.Come during the weekdays after lunch when it's slow if you want to learn or enjoy the open space.

Jorge Palacios: Nice, well maintained Ice rink. Prices are on the expensive side but is high quality gear - I’m speaking specifically about the kids equipment- it could use a hot food or hot drinks vendor…

GG P: You can bring your own skates or rent one. Recommended to wear mittens. Pretty cold.

Zeng Sunshine: The rink is big. Love the Christmas tree. But the quality of the ice is not very good. I keep slipping when I push forward

Kristain SixtoSanchez: and snack vending machines if you need a lil something and don't wanna get a full meal. They also sell light gloves, socks, and other small skating accessories if you need something at the front counter.

Michael Brewer: Very fun, not too crowded which made it super nice, the kids had a blast, great couple of hours of fun!

Keith Diehl: Great! The line to get in and get skates moved smoothly. They have dual blade skates for the kids though one parent had to ask for them instead of them being offered. We all had fun and, while somewhat crowded, felt reasonably safe.

Nicholas Chavira: I went there for lessons once, they where very nice and the environment is great

Lily Marcos: Very nice place

Lynore Oliveri: Great friendly people.Clean, kept up.Great place for kids and adultsWonderful teachers!!!! Classes private and group.
