Marilyn Mathews: Playground: Didn't walk in the entire park but there was a small, well maintained playground next to the community center. 2 swings 2 baby swings plus a small jungle gym.Restrooms: Didn't use the restrooms but there were 2 available for guests at the baby shower to feel comfortable using. Normally I avoid park bathrooms but cleanliness safety were pleasantly not an issue here.

Edwin Aviles: Nice little park with tennis courts, a kids playground and a couple of tables for a nice picnic.
Michael Winchester: Very nice little park with a small parking lot a playground, and really nice basketball court.Playground: Small park with basketball and a playground, there is also a small field.Restrooms: It's a porta potty, but it is there.Picnic area: Very small park, one picnic table.
Dasasin Johnson: I like this park. It's never overcrowded. I usually take my kids here whenever they need to practice basketball. This time the baskets didn't have nets but most of the time they do. I also like that the water fountain is in a close proximity to the court. My only dislike is that the bathrooms aren't open so when the kids need to go, we have to leave the park and come back.Restrooms: The restrooms are not open

Matthew Meader: I play tennis and pickle ball here multiple times a week. The place needs a lot of help because it's owned by the city and run like a city park. That said, the courts and people are great!
Bernd Reuter: . Unfortunately, it's right next to the 405 Fwy., so it's quite noisy and probably not the best air quality.
Mario Andrade: Great place to play pickleball. Lots of courts are available. Membership required to reserve courts in advance.

antman5000qwe: Pretty good tennis courts and seating area. It is mostly windy there even when it says it's not. I recommend to bring a jacket. The shop has very little healthy snacks and mostly candy, drinks and ice cream.

Cheryl Tate: El Dorado Park has many things, Long Beach has many jewels in her crown undiscovered, the tennis center inside the park is very nice. Very accommodating and modern, I was able to see my player and cheer them on. The nearby field was an interesting game of disc golf. Long Beach and the many services it has for its constituents.

The Cerritos Park Association donated this park on February 19, 1944. The donation was from a portion of Rancho Los Cerritos that had recently been subdivided and sold as housing developments. The park was named for one of the hometowns in Maine from which some members of the Bixby and Hathaway families had emigrated before settling in California at Rancho Los Cerritos.
The master plan for the development of the park was approved in 1946, and the park was opened in 1950. The original plan included two tennis courts and three small buildings for staff offices, restrooms and storage. Two multi-purpose courts, two basketball courts, and playground equipment was later added.
In 1998, the restrooms were rehabilitated with tile and new stall partitions, and the playground equipment was replaced with new equipment with funds from the Los Angeles County Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond Act of 1992.

Brain Bananas: We haven't been here in a while. This is a beautiful park overall. Great for family activities such as parties, fishing, biking, hiking etc. Lots of parking on main loop. The only disappointment was the duck lake grass was full of animal litter... probably duck liter.... Anywhere we walked on the grass there was poop. There is an entrance fee, which I believe was $8. Not much, but shouldn't public park entrances be free?
