I never am bored and know that no matter what, it will be a terrific workout. The coaches take their time to show/explain and actually coach proper positioning, stature and muscle engagement. I feel like they are truly interested in me and my fitness journey.Alongside the MRT classes, they have Strength classes. The strength class is a limited amount of members and the coaches spend quality time with each attendee individually to ensure we are lifting/bending/pulling/pushing appropriately. I always have struggled with correct breathing and they continue to have patience as I get better and better with my workouts.I cannot recommend this gym enough! I am a woman over 40 and feel age creeping up slowly but surely. I sometimes feel I am the oldest person at this gym, but I never feel self conscious about my performance. - All because the coaches treat everyone equally and truly care about every single member. This is a fabulous gym and I am blessed to have found a place where I am comfortable and celebrated every time I come in.

They will make an effort to be personable with you and help you accomplish your fitness goals. All of your exercise regimen are written down for you to follow. You typically get a demonstration of the exercises from your coach first. Then they will watch you to make sure you're performing the correct movements. Sometimes even give you a little nudge to remind you to boost the intensity a little bit.I've been a long standing member and I've seen a-lot of changes with myself mentally and physically. This place is my safe haven and I look forward to coming in to crush my workouts daily. I've seen changes in my energy levels and my body is shaping up to how I want it to be. The coaches are truly dedicated and clearly love their jobs. We get emails each week filled with education and inspiration. They offer meal planning in addition to training. The workouts are always progressing so you do not get bored. AND they have multiple social events throughout the year so you can find time to just relax and unwind with other gym members. Brian was a person we could look to as an inspiration. He was a lead by example type of trainer who everyone admired for his athleticism.Meals - The food was fantastic. I am a picky eater and Chef Jason never made a meal I didn’t love. He kept us on track with the right macros and he taught us an enormous amount about food preparation and set us up for success to keep the train on the tracks.Hikes - Everyday starts with a hike in a different mountain trail. It was such a great way to start each day, being in nature and moving our bodies. Some hikes were tougher than others but each one brought a sense of accomplishment when it was completed.Overall, we were very satisfied and would recommend Live In Fitness to anyone looking to not only hit a goal of weight loss but even to hone your training and your knowledge so you can reach the next level. There is so much more we could say. No matter where you are at in your health and fitness journey there is something to be gained from this program.

I learn something new every time during her session. The coaches and nutritionist that will go above and beyond to help like I mentioned is the kind of thing that made me add more time here at LIF. Elizabeth Beatty: Clean. So clean. Spray down equipment and air filtration in everyroom.Trainers are efficient and so personable. I have had great results. Literally 20 min twice a week and I am feeling the best I have in over 5 years.Its a bit pricey but I figure I'm paying for efficiency, results, professionally educated and trained staff, extremely clean/safe environment, with low impact high quality machines.My chronic lower back pain is gone and I have beat a man at arm wrestling. Booyah. Also, I am not huge on cardio so I figured build muscle, increase metabolism, increase energy, now I'll work on cardio. I actually feel like I have energy to do it.

Eric Johnson: I love this place! They provide the most efficient workout devised by modern science. Slow moves with resistance carefully selected to thoroughly tire the major muscle groups at every level of muscle fiber type. This signals the body to grow more muscle. The workouts are so brief that your body has ample time to recover and grow lean muscle mass. They track your progress and adjust resistance for you so it's as easy as it can be. The facility is clean, state-of-the-art. The staff if wonderful, personable and supportive.

Alan Ritchie: Enjoyed the free intro class I took here. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The class I took was high energy and well thought out. The music was at times so loud that I could not hear the instructor. Additionally the clip in lock on one side of my bike felt too loose to where it was a bit uncomfortable to ride at times without my foot slipping/changing positions.

Anita S.: Pros thus far:I enjoy taking the $12 at 12 classes. They are upbeat, really make you sweat and are over before you know it. The shoe rentals are just 2 bucks and convenient. I also love the eucalyptus freezing cold towel provided when we finish working out. It is always very clean and fun, lots of fun.Cons thus far:The front desk clerks weren't always welcoming or friendly to me each time I visited and I have been to 2 different locations. I think staff should be trained to have the same demeanor "shinny disposition" with ALL patrons, especially those who look different than them. We are all there for an uplifting experience and burn stress, you know human stuff that has no color barriers.Lastly, there wasn't more than myself or 1 other Black person in classes I've taken. Some other patrons look uncomfortable about me being there on each occasion, making it a bit uncomfortable for me as a Black woman. I've lived in the South in NC and felt more welcome in prominently "Caucasian" attended exercise classes, which is odd because we are in "tolerant" CA .Any hoots, πŸ™I vowed to push past these reoccurring cons to reach my fitness goals. I will return to the saddle uncomfy experiences and all because I deserve to be there, too at this public place.

I tried their free first class and ended up purchasing the new members package! I will definitely be coming back to feel the intensity and burn of GritCycle LB. During my time at Grit I have been excited to be in the studio with my favorite instructors, Reina and Kelli. When I think about Reina one word comes to mind, FIERCE! Reina will push you beyond your limits and reinforce what you have accomplished. Her class is so much more than a place to exercise but a place to refuel. For me, one of the best ways to start my day. Reina takes the time to know your name and pushes you not to give up. I’m always surprised to hear her call my name. Kelli exudes genuine love and encouragement for everyone in her class. Kelli’s personality is electrifying and her sense of humor is hilarious. I enjoy her class and always feel a sense of gratification. If you enjoy cycling, I definitely recommend Grit! Looking forward to the next ride, La Shawn Yarbrough!

I recommend arriving at least 15 min before class to make sure you get a spot on time. The closer the better! If it's your first time, definitely a possibility you will experience wobbly legs afterwards. πŸ˜„ First ride includes shoe rental, after that it's $2. Also good to come early so the team can help you adjust your bike for a comfortable ride & to show you how to clip in. Bring water! There are showers, lockers, & a bottle refill station. You will sweat...a lot. Towels are also provided. Classes fill up quick so plan ahead and secure your spot. Would highly recommend!

Heather Harris: It can be a challenge to find the right gym, class or workout routine. The welcome staff take their time to ensure your questions are answered, they follow up and make the decision to join an obvious choice. The classes are a well balanced mix of strength training and cardio. I don’t have to figure out what to work on or having to change up routines because they take care of all of that! The coaching and heart monitor allow me to use data and motivation to work towards my goals. The cherry on top is the music and high energy atmosphere .

Frannie R: I've been going to Orange Theory, Long Beach Marina location for a little over a year now. The workouts are great, different templates for every class plus specialty workouts and fun challenges. I personally love the treadmill but it has been very beneficial for my fitness journey to explore other types of workouts: rowing, floor reps, and weight training. The coaches and the front desk associates are amazing. They are all super positive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Also important to me are the other gym goers and atmosphere. So far, everyone I've met has been super friendly and supportive. I highly recommend the Long Beach Marina Orange Theory. Oh and another terrific perk is that you can attend classes at other OTF locations which I love especially when traveling.

Ray Gonzalez: Brandon and his team are an amazing set of trainers high energy and fun to be around they keep you motivated and truly care that you succeed. Customer service is top notch if you have never been to a gym this place is for you very inviting and they really work with you to build your strength and push you to do better and get stronger, I have never been to a gym and was intimidated but they made me feel right and home and walked me through each exercise. If you have never gone and want to start Ascend Fitness is a great place to begin.

mmshell1: I decided to do the 6 week challenge because I was over weight, had no energy, and no strength. I started at 153 pounds and lost 16 pounds and now weigh 137. I learned a lot through this process about portion control, food prep, how to listen to my body and how to exercise to lose weight and get fit. Rey and Tim were great, the workouts were challenging, but fun and they always changed it up so you never got bored and you worked every muscle in your body. They were great at answering questions, encouraging us every step of the way. When I hit a plateau they gave me ideas on how to break them. Overall a great experience and I feel so much healthier and stronger and ready to continue with my new healthy lifestyle.

Although it took me 30mins to decide if I'm gonna do this or not, I'm happy that I put my foot down and say "let's do it"!Bam!!! Now I am 146lbs. Goal was 16lbs but I exceeded n lost 18lbs. I feel great with more energy, I look great, I use to hate trying on clothes now I wanna go shopping evertdayI'm also setting a good example for my kids to be healthy. Besides the number not changing drastically, I went down from a size 16 to 10 in jeans and went from an XL shirt to M!!! Robin Hwang: I applied to the 6 week program for Ascend Fitness and successfully completed my goal with hard work and dedication. What's more is that, they keep you accountable so you drift off from your goal, they encourage you, and they know what specific exercise benefits your goal. My weight goal was to gain 10 pounds; I was 126 and in 6 weeks, I'm now 137. My chest came out more and I got a bit muscular than before and "if you look good, you feel good". You become closer to the trainers and it's just a really good environment to be in and around. And to be honest, you're gonna feel and know that this is worth the challenge. You personally will feel a lot better about yourself mentally and physically at the end of the day and at the end of the 6 week program.

Apart from the physical fitness aspect, the 6-week challenge also helped me improve my mental fortitude and discipline which are skills that are transferable in all facets of life.All in all, Ascend Fitness is AWESOME, and definitely the place to be if you feel like you're equal to the challenge of transforming your life into a stronger, healthier, and happier version of yourself.Post Challenge Update:In as much as all the details mentioned above are true, it's important that I speak on my experience when it came time to get my deposit refunded upon completion of the challenge. What began as a positive experience, turned into a nightmare when it came time to collect. After about 3 weeks of not hearing anything from anyone I showed up to the premises in person to make an inquiry with one of the trainers but to no avail. In addition I had to call and send emails multiple times just to get my money back. During this phase I was in contact with Joey who happens to be a co-owner of Ascend Fitness. His explanation for the delay was that their bank account was attacked and therefore they had no funds to give me. Regardless of the incident that happened to their company, they should have actively notified customers about their issue and provided a definitive time-line on when they would have it resolved. Whenever I spoke to Joey, he was polite but there always seemed to be an element of negligence on refunding my money. All in all, Ascend is good at fitness but they definitely need to work on their administrative processes and customer service to ensure that they don't go from hero to zero.

The trainers, nutritionist, and the easy recipes made it so much easier to stay on track. Since the 6 weeks I lost 10 lbs and 7% body fat. This challenge has motivated me to keep working on my fitness journey and I have now joined the Ascend Fitness family.
