San Francisco Pacific Academy: what do users think?

Vladimir Tsutskhvashvili: I'm thrilled to share our wonderful experience with our son's small private elementary school in San Francisco. Our journey began in kindergarten when he was just 5 years old, and now, in 2nd grade, we couldn't be happier. The small class size, capped at 10 kids, has truly made a difference. The teachers not only know our son well but also each and every child and their families. This personalized approach has made the learning experience exceptional. From a parent's perspective, we are deeply grateful for the school's excellent management, especially in navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic. They've gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.Additionally, the variety of after-school activities available has added immense value to our son's education and overall growth. In short, our family couldn't be more pleased with our son's school. It's a place where education, safety, and community truly come together to create an exceptional learning environment. We're grateful to have found such a gem in San Francisco.

Carlos Lopez: Great school with great teachers!

Yaroslava Dotsenko: , does not have too many kids in classes, has a uniform, provides with hot meals for lunch

Olga Barda: An excellent option for parents and their children who have just arrived in the USA. Gentle adaptation to a new country, Russian-speaking children, always ready to help, a truly individual approach - in classes of no more than 12 people. A very strong mathematics school - classes are held in parallel in the Russian and Californian programs. Moreover, the program is much ahead of the mathematics program in Moscow schools! My daughter was very worried about how the move would go, but thanks to school, she quickly adapted and is learning the language at an accelerated pace!

Maria Evdokimov: Love the school very much. My son is very happy at school and my daughter can’t wait to join him.

chiharu aida: I have been there.Individual attention is great !

yulia koltzovarang: I am so happy we chose this school for our son. The teachers and administration are dedicated to each child's success. The school provides a strong academic curriculum in a nurturing environment. Great after school classes for the kids, too. Our son looks forward to going to school every day and has learned so much already!

Ilia Lebedenko: We love this school! It has a very strong math and science curriculum and great teachers. The class sizes are small, which allows teachers to really pay attention to each student's needs.Half of the classes are in English, and half are in Russian, which makes a really strong bilingual education.San Francisco Pacific Academy has great experienced and progressive teachers who challenge students. It has a warm and nurturing family-like environment.School administration is very supportive and attentive to students needs. They are both owners and parents just like we are.Pretty much the worries we had while our child was previously going to a good public elementary school in SF have disappeared. Thank you, SFPA!

Drew School: what do users think?

Jen Segal: . She’s tutoring a local Hispanic first grader in reading in her first semester. Similarly, she arrived at Drew with a background in music but questioning whether it was “right” for her. The faculty encouraged her to “dip her toe” into chorus; she ultimately aced AP Music Theory and now intends to make it a big part of her college program where she is already excelling. Drew also nailed another important

Stephany Medina: . We didn't know what to expect but I'm glad we took a leap. My senior has had a rough go of high school

alicia pflueger: My son is a sophomore at Drew and has been "on fire" since day one! He comments daily on the amazing community, the engaging interactions he has with his teachers, the kindness of the other students and the relaxed environment that makes his challenging academics actually fun!

Anthony Lynn: I love working at Drew. It is the most satisfying job I have ever had.

Diane Cassil: My daughter just graduated Drew School and her experience there was above our expectations. From the beginning of her freshman year through her senior year she felt at home, was challenged and supported along the way. She has become a confident, independent and an empathetic person that is feeling very prepared for her college experience. We could not have asked for a better school for our daughter and family.

The Band: When your are a high schooler and find yourself winding up here at Drew it really felt like you've come down in the world. But actually there WERE very smart people here only dragged down by some who were unmotivated and they weren't such bad people it's just that by now decades later they're probably making more money than the smart people who feel isolated because they are told they are introverted. In fact just getting their brain power ripped off. I didn't mean anything by those remedial vocabulary quizzes turning em in in 10 seconds. I miss my teachers who wanted to really teach me and open up the world and encourage me and said I have Total Recall. And only to get back in touch with decades later and for them to tell me they're interested in my projects. That reminds me to write Toño

Lick Wilmerding High School: what do users think?

Cheikhtidiane Diallo: Cool

Bing Sun: A very good yet costly high school.

Jared Yee: CMA last class on a friday

Mel Simmons: Lick Wilmerding,l have a great young man, because of you. I want to thank you, fromthe bottom of my heart.Thank you, Thank youMarcus simmonsDadMel Simmons

Lea Rubio: . The kids are challenged to step up and be future leaders and care about their community. There is a sense of independence and empowerment instilled in the kids. I cant say anything negative about the place. My kid loves it and so do I. Outstanding place to go to school... They also have a great "café" with a chef, great sports, lots of extracurricular activities and clubs, beautiful campus and incredible staff and support for the kids and the parents. I have High School Envy!

Brian Kissel: Incredible school. Our son just started and absolutely loves it. The teachers, facilities, student body, and curriculum are outstanding. Very diverse and welcoming culture, lots of experience-based learning opportunities, and rigorous academics.

Jack Barry: Lick is the high school in the state, has an amazing blend of academics, shop skills, school spirit, and "community concern"... "Head, Heart, and Hands" is one of its mottos. The other: "A Private School with a Public Purpose"..Its students accomplish amazing things, in the arts, business, the sciences, all the while "Never Majoring" in "My Wallet First". A Google search is the proof, if you go to the pictures and "current activities"..I am a parent of a member of the Class of 1999, and we still miss the place!.

The Bay School of San Francisco: what do users think?

J Holman: The golden gate backdrop is hard to beat. Friendly students. Staff is remarkable. School is newer and nimble, but has an impressive track record in turning out kids who give back, are intellectually able and engaged learners.

Sebastian Alexander Johnson: I'd give a 5/5 if they stopped having those cheese bagels.

Urban School: what do users think?

Tohir: Nice school 🇹🇯

Theresa Sunding: Outstanding teaching, innovative curriculum, competitive athletics, top-notch administration. Our kids have had a wonderful experience at Urban.

Tom McIntyre: Engaged, focussed, happy kids interacting with engaged, focussed, happy faculty. I wish I could enrol myself !

Alma Robinson: This is truly an amazing institution. If I could go to high school again, I'd choose Urban. The community is awesome, and everyone truly cares about the development of all of the students, celebrates their unique gifts and encourages them to measure themselves, not against each other, but against their own potential. What a concept! Learning through service is not a check-off, but a gift to each young person to find his or her own way to contribute to solving problems in our community. It was our privilege to have two sons at Urban at the same time. For one glorious year, they were 40% of the starting basketball squad, and that interest has lasted. But they also found the passions that drove them through college and beyond--our oldest son is the dean of students and teaches special education at a middle school in Brooklyn and his brother is a resident in surgery at UCSF. I wish we could take a dose of the Urban magic and spread it to every high school -- public and private -- in San Francisco. Imagine what our city could become....
