Shelly: I was here yesterday with my Family for Mother's Day 💐 I had never even heard of this restaurant prior to yesterday, but all I have to say is the vibe, the ambiance, the food the staff was exceptional!I was in love with the world war II theme, the memorabilia on the walls, the sirens that go off while you're in the bathroom was a hoot! I was scared but I loved it! I could have spent hours and hours just looking at everything they had on the walls to the ceiling, from the stone fireplaces to the outside grass area, the planes landing and taking off my granddaughter was mesmerized, the gazebo is where we actually had our brunch, I was truly a happy camper Happy Mother's Day at this restaurant. I will return, someday soon, maybe Father's Day?!Parking: I feel there should be more disability parking available. When we were there, there was a Bentley Park right out front in the handicap reserve spot, which Ashley I could have used.Kid-friendliness: After taking a tour inside the restaurant showing your kids everything from hanging airplanes to memorabilia from world war II, they would enjoy going out to the back grass area to enjoy watching planes taking off and planes landing.Maybe they'll get lucky enough to see the rabbits that are hiding in the bushes.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm sorry to say, but this restaurant is not wheelchair friendly from what I saw coming through the entrance. But maybe there is another way for people in wheelchairs to get to the back of the restaurant towards the outside dining area. There are quite a few stairs coming from the actual dining area into the patio area. Some people would have a hard time coming up and down those stairs. And wheelchair access to these in and outs are not accessible.

Classics Malt Shop: what do users think?

ken ray: OMG!!!My wife and I are in San Diego to visit family and were hoping to find a good burger. Well we failed to find a “good” burger, instead we found a great one! Classics Malt Shop was a place my cousin had mentioned when he was alive. We decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. The burgers were great, the hand cut fries and the onion rings sure didn’t disappoint either. My wife couldn’t stop talking about the black cherry shake she ordered either. The atmosphere was both welcoming and authentic just like back when I was a kid. The management and staff were very friendly and welcoming as well. If I had to say one negative it would be that I had to leave. But I left with a full stomach and looking forward to returning for another meal before we leave Sam Diego. GREAT FOOD, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE!!!!!

John Anthony: I work on their fire and life safety systems. Finally made it in for some lunch. One of the best classic burgers I've ever had. Not only is the food top tower for American Diner standards, the owner Jeff is such a character. Remembers his clientele by name, and their usual orders. Makes every customer feel like everything is perfect, and goes above and beyond. Definitely a spot to check out and make a routine stop to. Fresh beef, fresh fries, and fresh shakes. Can't go wrong.

Nick (SICKNICKERONI): Good food, very good malts and shakes. Got a strawberry malt before I left and it was definitely one of if not the best I've ever had.Their burgers appear to be a standard size of 1/4 lb and I'm not sure if you can modify it so be ready to take something home if you're not the hungriest person.

Lisa Munde: I would give 1000 stars if I could. We stumbled upon Midway Classic Malt Shop after swim lessons nearby. Now it's a weekly tradition. The service is incredible as the owner makes you feel like you're a regular in a small town--he knows my kiddos names now and even their order! The food is also fantastic--we especially love the zucchini sticks and homemade ranch. This would be a great place to go with visitors or even as a meet up spot with other families. We're so lucky we found this gem in our community!

Casey Culkin: Fiona was amazing 😍

Milad Gilani: Friendly girls' bartenders, but not the guys' bartenders. I was for karaoke night on Sunday. I'm overall happy.

Geeanna T.: Every single person working there was so friendly. I loved the biscuits and gravy. It was a lot of food, we could have split it. My husband got the chilaquiles, and that was also fantastic. The steak on that dish was excellent. They have a unique list of strong cocktails. There is plenty to take in decoration wise. The DJ at brunch was a great addition too. I'd love to go back.

Jason: Solidly unspectacular. Would prob be a top tier bar in most towns. I feel like bars around here have caught up to and passed up werewolf though. Super friendly staff though!

James Gillis: While in town for business, the Wife was craving a "good" burger. Which means it does not need to be fancy just tasty. And the Werewolf delivered! She had the Kiss burger, the flavor hit hard. They know how to do it. I had the garlic ginger wings, sticky and amazing....that dojo sauce.....I could eat that on everything. I can't forget about the drinks, had a couple of the menu and they did not disappoint. If we are ever in SD again, we are stopping here. Might even need to make a special road trip out. Specials shot out to Fiona for the great service!!YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE

Jason Franco: Perfect pasta and service. The only complaint of that the nose level is to loud. We could not hear each other talking at my table.Parking: Tight parking in the back.

john travis hale: So I have driven by this place for years and years. Every time I think about the name and I am kind of put off in that same way you when you see an American Irish bar named Patty's..Well I got invited here for a group event. And I was pleasantly surprised..the inside was nice, but really it was the staff. They are absolutely fantastic. Very nice and helpful and ready to help with any requests. Then the food, man it was good, it was better than that, it was fantastic. We had a group of maybe 15 people and it all came out at the same time, no mix-ups, and all done perfectly. Not a single complaint. My complements to the owners, staff and the cook staff. You guys do a straight up fantastic job..I should have been here years ago

Will A: Great atmosphere, the food is not excellent but it's good. Last visit the waiter read the special as coming with Alfredo pasta and it was actually something else. I then revisited the situation and waiter denied it. Which I found quite strange. The sea bass special wasn't good I almost sent my dish back. It was my parents anniversary so I kept it cool didn't want to cause an awkward moment and paid the bill for our party. The service I general over the many times my family and i have visited has been excellent.

Rigo Vega: We have been visiting The Godfather for 33 years and the food and the service have always been superb.

Tony Petruzzelli: Godfather restaurant is definitely a go-to for Italian food. decor is very old fashion, dimly light blk/red Italian style, which I enjoy, very easy to valet, we were greeted as we walked in and promptly seated, I recommend making reservations. Fried zucchini starter is brought right out, our food was delicious, and desserts sweet and tasty!!

Haylee Jane Monteiro: What an amazing beautiful sandwich! That hot chicken with the hot honey and that sauce.. Just everything in there was perfect together. I've already messy Burger as well for a messy eater like me, but totally worth it!Fries were also lovely and crunchy on the side and actually went amazing with the hot sauce instead of the ketchup! Definitely recommend.Barbecue Chicken Flatbread

Annie Travel: One door north is worth a visit, the place is unique and yet very spacious. The tents can accommodate large parties and allow guests to enjoy a very special experience.Servers were friendly and helpful, they came to our table a few times to ensure the services met our expectations.Price was very reasonable, there’s many food choices including freshly baked cornbread and stone baked flatbread. The cocktail menu is versatile and offers speciality drinks.

TheMrsVader: We will definitely be back. The salmon was so good and the skin was perfectly crispy. The truffle fries were perfection and the flat iron steak was so tender. The truffle aioli that came on top was decadent and we had the warm chocolate chip cookie for dessert. It was the perfect amount of ooey gooey goodness. Deseree, our waitress made the whole experience all the more enjoyable with her attentiveness. Great service.

Sharon Black: We went here for Restaurant Week and were so glad that we picked this place. We were a bit late to our reservations because finding parking in the neighborhood was an issue. Food was delicious. The roasted beet salad was our favorite appetizer. The mini cornbreads were good too. The Nashville fried chicken sandwich was a hit with the tasty fries. The maple pork chop was a bit on the salty side but juicy. The mushroom flatbread fell a little short compared to the other three dishes. Will have to come back another time when they have their regular menu!

Zen Nezha: I highly recommend this place for a cozy romantic dinner. We got to celebrate our friend proposal and the owner Alex was very friendly and tried to accommodate our table and get us the tent to make the surprise even better. he kept checking on us to make sure everything was good, the food was amazingly cooked. lovely night at the restaurant in the heart of north park

Leonardo Kerkhoven: Definitely a great place to go for foods and drinks! I went for a friend birthday, and told my other friend to do her birthday there too, and she loved it!The service is awesome, food and drinks are perfect!

An incredible chicken sandwich fried to perfection, the right amount of spice, and the employees were patient and great providing suggestions!!! A must try! Their bbq, pineapple mustard, or Sriracha thousand island all great sauces to enjoy as well!

María Domínguez Vila: .In addition, they have boxes and bags available to all customers to carry your food if you don't finish it.Highly recommended, although we are not used to paying almost 70 dollars for a dinner, it was worth it because everything was delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: It is totally accessible.

Chloe Fox: This place has a really great happy hour, and the semisonic cocktail is always lovely. The bartenders are always really friendly and kind, the bathrooms are clean, and the atmosphere has a great, neighborhoody vibe. The one thing I find slightly disappointing and inconsistent is their pretzel. I really love a good pretzel, and the first time I got one it was fantastic. Crispy crust, but still malleable and a soft, tender interior. The second and third time I’ve gotten it, it was varying degrees of stale/hard. Other than that, this is a fun place to hang out with friends or by yourself for a little drink!

Belinda Exner: Recommended dishes Abnormal Tot-Chos, Cubano Sandwich

Jason Guman: The jalepeño garlic butter wings are my favorite wings in SD. Food is priced fairly and consistently very good. Good selection of beers on tap as well.

Juston Erwin: We recently visited with a wedding gift card. We aren't generally big spenders at restaurants but we have no regrets about this one. We had never been prior and we had a pretty wonderful experience overall. We did get a variety of things from all over the menu. Definitely enjoyed everything we got.The server was very nice and gave us some legitimately helpful tips about ordering. For example, the 22 oz steak that we ordered would take a decent amount of time to prepare. The waitress was ready available when needed and we constantly had fresh food in front of us without anything piling up.We of course had dessert and everything was delicious. I do wish the carrot cake had more actual cake to it. It was delicious regardless. The pineapple matcha ice cream was absolutely delicious and very unique. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. It has a very rustic but modern feel. I didn't find my chair to be that comfortable. I think the back was angled back a little bit too much.

Kylie Ozols: !!Things I recommend:“Bites”section, the yellowtail tostada, smoked rolls and squash blossoms are always a favorite of mine.“Small Plates” section, the Japanese Sweet Potatoes and the Ravioli

Jessica Miller: The food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but everything we ordered was delicious. I would go back to try more things.Parking: Paid valet

Justin Flynn: Service and atmosphere is 5 stars. For appetizers we got wontons and Taiwanese chicken. Both dishes were very good and would highly recommend. For our meals we got the filet mignon and braised beef kare kare. Again both dishes were very good and the steak could be cut using your fork only. Went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint.

LULU LIVE Art: rious how they created the food. I am glad I booked this restaurant because no matter the atmosphere or the foods are amazing. I think they perfectly combined Asian cuisine elements into western dinings. We had Mantou, which is the traditional breads that I ate growing up, it was so unique and nice to pair with sour cream butter. The charred broccolini is so well charred, very flavorful. Both beef chick and Seabass entrees are very delicious. The beef chick is so soft and tender, it was pretty salty tho, it was nice to eat with paired sponge bread. Sichuan spicy seabass, the taste is very authentic, I love the numb taste from the Sichuan pepper. My husband got a compliment mousse cake for bday cake and we also had a ube puff pastry dish for dessert, very nice service and good desserts. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. Only one suggestion - it will be nice to have plain noodles or soba noodles to go with the Seabass, the soup inside will be nice to let the noodles soak in.

Nette Rab: was awesome. Personable and friendly. She always came by ensuring we were enjoying our dishes.Food:I can't remember all the dishes but this is what we had on our last visit.A5 Wagyu TartareSweet and Sour CauliflowerLechon KawaliA5 Old FashionedWagyu Fried RiceThe Tartare was delicious, and I also loved the flavors of the fried rice. I was not a fan of the cauliflower. However, my friends enjoyed it. The lechon tasted great, and the sauce elevated it. The only negative is that it wasn't as crunchy as I would have loved it to be. I still ate it as it was tender, just fatty

Quin Whiddon: The atmosphere is very sexy and the decor consists of olive green and gold making for a most luxurious setting. In addition to the surroundings, the playlist is fire and helps to create an energetic atmosphere.I started with the Artemis cocktail and while enjoying my dinner of spicy seabass and broccolini, I ended the meal with a glass of Chenin blanc. I also got the crab fried rice to go. My meal was delicious and Shanice was a great and attentive waitress. I will definitely be back with friends so that I can try more dishes!

Josh Laroche: Animae is an amazing restaurant! The chef represents her heritage very well. Everything that I ate was amazing and well put together. The wait staff were not only well versed in the menu items, but what pairings would complement each other. I tried flavor combinations that I never would have mixed together, but that blew my mind. I cannot give enough compliments to this establishment. I will be back again for sure!Vegetarian options: The staff is well versed in food allergies and dietary restrictionsParking: Valet parking is $20 and directly outside the establishment

Maritza Padilla: High-end restaurant, amazing service and the menu is explained to you... plus you get great recommendations from the servers based on the most ordered items. Definitely try all the recommendations. Portions are small but they can be shared with a party of 4 or 5 if you're ordering multiple appetizers plus your entree. The spicy seabass entree is amazing but is VERY spicy.

Peter Lucas: and shared them all around the table, tapas style. This was a wonderful way to enjoy a great variety of dishes. The Dinuguan beef cheeks was a favorite. The Szechuan Spicy Seabass got high marks as well. Despite the beef-forward labels, there was a wide selection of meat-free dishes.Their craft cocktails were enjoyed by all of us. The Artemis was a favorite.Parking: Valet. Or an ACE lot across Broadway. Expensive lot: $20 only gets you 2 hours

Lysa Price: I recently planned a private event at Huntress Steakhouse, and I was thoroughly impressed with several aspects of our experience. The Caesar salad and short ribs were excellent, perfectly balanced in flavor and tenderness. The macaroni and cheese was rich and creamy, while the gnocchi was delightfully fluffy. It had a beautiful overall ambiance which made for a memorable dining experience. I would recommend Huntress Steakhouse for anyone looking to enjoy quality food in a sophisticated setting.

Evill1981: The food is delicious service and the staff is very good, attentive and knowledgeable. The drinks also taste great, they are a bit on the pricey side though. I believe about half our bill was drinks alone. Six drinks, my wife and I had 3 each. This is the most I have spent for a meal for 2. We did have the 5 course tasting menu X 2 at $150 each. Plus drinks and tips totaled about $620.00. We had a nice, uninterrupted dinner.

Rocio G: I was easily able to make a reservation less than 24 hours in advance. Upon arrival, only had to wait about 5 min for our table to be ready. We were having an early dinner so the place wasn't too busy with plenty of empty tables to accommodate walk ins at 5PM on a Saturday during a Padres game.We ordered 2 steaks and 2 cocktails that were good but what blew us away were the Gnocchi Mac N Cheese and Sprouting Cauliflower. These were the best sides on our trip to San Diego! We can't wait to try to make gnocchi mac n cheese at home. Next time we go we'll probably share a steak and get more sides. We also tried the Magic Mushroom and the presentation was definitely one of the best I've ever seen on a dessert. I don't normally like white chocolate or raspberry but paired together on this mushroom was AMAZING! I had no problem finishing my half. They change up the flavors seasonally which is why it's not the same color in all the photos. If you've had it once, check the ingredients to see if it's different from your last visit. We almost ordered the 7 Sins Chocolate Cake but since that and the mushroom served 2 people, we opted for just one dessert. If the serving size was smaller we for sure would have ordered both!Service was another highlight. The whole staff did an amazing job at working as a team. They helped each other out and did an amazing job at staying busy, which is something I don't see at restaurants a lot since COVID. They anticipated our needs and we didn't have to try to flag anyone down for help. I wish it was like that at more restaurants! 3-4 people came by our table during our visit. Shout out to the guy from Chicago! I'm so sorry I don't remember your name but you were a delight to interact with during our visit!

Rosa Rodriguez: I celebrated my birthday at Huntress Restaurant in San Diego, and it was fantastic. The food was exceptional, with perfectly cooked steak and flavorful dishes. The drinks were creative, and the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, efficient, and even surprised me with a birthday card and dessert treat. Overall, a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for any occasion.

Tim Walden: Huntress, Huntress, HUNTRESS! That's all I can say. I was in San Diego for a work trip, and this bar came highly recommended. And I'm here to keep up that tradition. The drinks are amazing, the atmosphere is phenomenal, and the bartender was so freaking kind. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Put it on your list. Lemondrop, French 75, Old Fashioned, Coffee Martini...whatever your drink of choice, they'll make you the best you've had.

C J: Overall, the drinks here were pretty good, food was not bad… highlights were the market salad which had a very nice dressing and the porterhouse. Several of the dishes that we had were over- salted: smoked maitake mushrooms, crab spaghetti, even the steak fries. Pictured here is the dessert which is one of their trademarks - the “magic mushroom”. Cool presentation but really nothing special - mostly white chocolate, some sponge cake crumble that was basically sugar, and some raspberry jam in the middle, served with vanilla ice cream. I would probably come back for the cocktails and steak.

Elizabeth Allmon: Been here a few times and always a great time with lots of laughs. Both the food and drinks are good and the show is fantastic!!

April Walk: It's a good time! Very entertaining and we laughed the whole time. We look forward to enjoying another Girls night out at Lips, sometime in the future. For everything included in the price, it was very reasonable. Next time we will be better prepared with entertainers tip money. Drinks are an extra cost but those of us who enjoy a drink or two did not mind.I highly recommend Lips for a very good time!

Noelle Uranga: Vegas to San Diego for a Bachelorette trip, and this was on the list for dinner our first night ! We had an absolute BLAST ! This was most of ours first time to a drag show, and it did not disappoint! You start off waiting in line for drinks at the bar. I ordered a Chocolatini, and it was really good, like a dessert drink. Most drinks are around $13-$15. Pretty average. You then get seated at your table. The Drag queens are the ones who seat you and take your order, so it was fun to interact with them. The food was delicious! Everyone gets a salad appetizer to start. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger & fries. Then a Cheesecake sampler came out for the table to share for dessert. The show itself was great ! The Drag queens were phenomenal. Loved their dancing, outfits, and personalities that really shined through. They were hilarious and very entertaining!Very interactive with the crowd as well. Everyone celebrating a birthday or Bachelorette got a crown and brought on stage for a photo. The night ended with 3 games of Bingo hosted by one of the Drag queens as well.Overall great time! Would 100% recommend!

Brittany Scalise: . It was the vegetarian main course on the current menu, but was well rounded and tasty! We got a side of truffle Brussel sprouts that honestly stole the show - perfectly crispy. I don’t know how they do it!!My partner ordered the sizzling meat

Edna Cecilia Ramirez Solis: Excellent atmosphere place...!Dietary restrictions: Salads! ClearWheelchair accessibility: Yeah

Gio Ehrig: . They gave us a little cheesecake for my friend's birthday which was sooo yummy. The food was tasty but you have to have a hefty wallet for this place I think, you just kinda have to expect that because you're paying for the experience too. Overall, it was nice but I don't think I NEED to come again.Parking: The restaurant itself does not offer parking so you'll have to find it on the street, meaning you may have a bit of a walk. My friends and I found parking decently fast, but we had to walk about a quarter mile so it's not a deal breaker just something to keep in mind.Wheelchair accessibility: I would say that it is possible but not very easily.

HG: We had an amazing date night! Easy to find parking, service was wonderful, drinks and food came quickly - we were in and out within an hour. I know it’s basic but the burger here is fantastic!!! So flavorful and didn’t leave me feeling sluggish. It’s a small place but the Ambience is beautiful, very dimly lit and relaxing. I literally have no complaints.

Crater Lake Resort: Place had a swanky and very cool vibe. I would’ve surely loved it had they had a seat at the bar. Don’t get me wrong there was plenty of space at the bar. Just no seats left. Which was weird. Since it was a bar for super short folks or people who like to sit on the floor or people lucky enough to have a seat, I had no other option than to beat feet to the next purveyor of fine spirits.

Lisette Morris: This is a hidden gem. I was so impressed by the interior, the service, the food. And their coffee martinis are to die for.Parking: It's street parking. We found a spot outside the restaurant. So I'll say it was easy. Their is a neighborhood just above you can find parking.

Cornel Ecuacion: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Born and Raised in Little Italy, San Diego, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the amazing decor that perfectly blends vintage charm with modern elegance. The highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the incredible cocktails crafted by Ben, the drinkmaster extraordinaire. Ben is a true magician when it comes to all things cocktail. Not only did he flawlessly execute the classics, but he also impressed us with his ability to create bespoke cocktails tailored to our tastes. Each drink was a masterpiece, showcasing his deep knowledge and passion for mixology. The service at Born and Raised was polished and attentive, making us feel pampered throughout our visit. Rich Hill: Born and Raised is a remarkable dining establishment that stands out among its peers. From the moment we stepped through its doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of exceptional service and impeccable attention to detail. The culinary experience was nothing short of extraordinary, with each dish meticulously crafted and executed to perfection.
