Juston Erwin: We recently visited with a wedding gift card. We aren't generally big spenders at restaurants but we have no regrets about this one. We had never been prior and we had a pretty wonderful experience overall. We did get a variety of things from all over the menu. Definitely enjoyed everything we got.The server was very nice and gave us some legitimately helpful tips about ordering. For example, the 22 oz steak that we ordered would take a decent amount of time to prepare. The waitress was ready available when needed and we constantly had fresh food in front of us without anything piling up.We of course had dessert and everything was delicious. I do wish the carrot cake had more actual cake to it. It was delicious regardless. The pineapple matcha ice cream was absolutely delicious and very unique. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. It has a very rustic but modern feel. I didn't find my chair to be that comfortable. I think the back was angled back a little bit too much.

Kylie Ozols: !!Things I recommend:“Bites”section, the yellowtail tostada, smoked rolls and squash blossoms are always a favorite of mine.“Small Plates” section, the Japanese Sweet Potatoes and the Ravioli

Jessica Miller: The food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but everything we ordered was delicious. I would go back to try more things.Parking: Paid valet

Cowboy Star Restaurant and Butcher Shop: what do users think?

Edward Blazejewski: I had dinner here during my stay in San Diego and I was very happy with my meal. The cocktail I had ordered was very good. For food I started with the C-Star Ceasar, which was very big, but light and not too filling. Very simple Ceasar with more of an oil based dressing, nothing crazy. For my meal I chose the 14 oz. Ribeye steak, which was delicious. The meat was cooked a perfect medium rare and the fat just melted in my mouth. I opted to order a side of the Creamy Horseradish sauce which was a great addition. All the steaks come with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus, which both weren’t anything special. I also ordered a side of the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, which were disappointing. They sound great on the menu, but overall were too salty and the pancetta was too tough to enjoy. I wish I would have ordered the Mac &. Cheese instead. For desert I had my waitress choose for me because all the options sounded great. She brought me out the Sticky Toffee Cake which was delicious. A great choice by her.I was seated at the counter in front of the kitchen. It was fun to watch the inner workings and how the food is prepared. Overall a great dinner, worth the price for the quality and quantity of food you receive.

Stephen Lee: Update: The Whole Bird Sweety Spicy Toss is incredible. A must try!The search for the best chicken sandwich in all the land is over. The best fried chicken sandwich ever! An incredible chicken sandwich fried to perfection, the right amount of spice, and the employees were patient and great providing suggestions!!! A must try! Their bbq, pineapple mustard, or Sriracha thousand island all great sauces to enjoy as well!

MarĂa DomĂnguez Vila: .In addition, they have boxes and bags available to all customers to carry your food if you don't finish it.Highly recommended, although we are not used to paying almost 70 dollars for a dinner, it was worth it because everything was delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: It is totally accessible.

David Mason: Great views, good, and service

Mary N: Went to Mister A's for birthday celebrations. The views are incredible and certainly made the evening that much more special! The service was good, and everyone was attentive. However, we never did get the bread after being asked twice if we would like it. The French onion soup was amazing! Would have enjoyed the salmon wellington more if it was not cut into slices. After all, the best part about wellington is the puff pastry. The rib eye was delicious and tender. The lobster looked fantastic. The brussel sprouts were too charred for my liking. The lemon desert was so tart and yummy. The carrot cake cheese cake lacked flavor but was incredibly smooth and creamy. Overall a great meal and evening!

Ray Frohnhoefer: We came with a group of friends, and no one left hungry. Cocktails were strong, and the food was delicious. Three of us had the duck confit risotto, and it was excellent. Creamy and cheesy risotto with what seemed to be a whole duck breast or more shredded in it. We were full, and there was enough leftover for a second meal each. On past visits, I've had the salted caramel ribs, which were tender and tasty.

Jeff Neylon: Just stopped in for some beignets to take home for dessert. They make excellent beignets!Food: 4/5Recommended dishes Beignets …

Leo Deng: So delicious!!!!! I would definitely come back again! The price vs the food is such a good balance. The duck is on top of my entre list.

Michelle Fitzgerald: Great experience. The staff is elegant friendly. Imagine sitting outside and having all your tastebuds satisfied because plate after plate his every flavor in your palette. That’s what this experience was. The only person I remember was Alex as he was personally showing his love for the menu items. Great place for sure, it felt like home away from home right in the center of north park. Was quiet yet lots of people- watching. Will definitely be back and if you haven’t been here, I highly recommend this place. It I could I would give 10 stars. Google - do your thing and put this restaurant at the top on he search for “best places to eat in north park”. Thanks for the experience SMOKING GOAT!!Parking: It’s in a neighborhood, there’s plenty of parking and even if there isn’t, it’s worth the walk!!
