Presented as a collection of contemporary art by artists living and working in southern California, their work explores issues of visibility, sovereignty, and being rooted in time and place. Irfan Murtaza is a local, internationally-renowned poet and artist. His acrylic paintings draw on subject matter from his native Pakistan and around the world. "Colors Tell the Story" is a collection of paintings reflecting architecture and sculpture, thematically spanning the ancient, modern, and sublime from South and Western Asia and North Africa.

MUZEO will be open only for the opening reception on June 17, 4:00pm - 6:00pm

California Jammin’ will feature free, outdoor performances spotlighting Western Swing, Roots/Blues, and Surf Rock artists in a relaxed, family friendly environment. Concerts will take place on June 30, July 28, and August 25 from 6:30-8:30 in the museum courtyard. The public will be invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic dinners to the show. In addition, a free kids arts and crafts booth will be offered by Muzeo.
