Once I decided to pick Smitten, I immediately received pre planning documents to help me stay organized throughout the process. The month before the wedding Marni made us feel confident and prepared. Melissa Banister: We got married on May 19th in Redondo Beach. We hired So Smitten for the day-of coordination package, and Marni was soooo helpful from the moment we hired her. She was readily available for questions by email, always had a helpful answer to everything, and was always friendly and supportive. We had two ceremonies back-to-back, an Indian ceremony followed by a Western one, and then a reception all in the same day, so the day was a long one to say the least and her company proved invaluable to making the day perfect. For planning, Marni drafted a day-of timeline way in advance, which was very useful when starting to work with our multiple vendors who would be working at different times of the day. She has you fill out this epic spreadsheet that is so crucial and helpful to making the day perfect, and no detail is left uncovered. She took a fantastic leadership role at our walk-through meeting with the venue and made sure that all the logistics made sense. On the day of the wedding, we had friends and family commenting to us how amazing Marni and her staff were and how magically smooth the day ran. We were so happy to know on the morning of the wedding that Marni and her team were there for us and that we could let go and focus on the magic of the day. Even at the end of a very long day, they continued to be amazing, as they packed everything of importance into our cars very well and made sure we were all set before leaving. If you are not sure if you need a wedding coordinator, we highly recommend doing so. We don’t know how things would have all come together as wonderfully as they did without Marni and her team!

Our dream was made possible due to the hard work and vision of Aimée Newlander with Wedding by Aimée. Aimée recognized our needs and values from the very start, and then she enhanced them with her extensive expertise in destination and ‘slow’ weddings. She provided us with excellent options for sustainable and local vendors in the Todos Santos area. For example, Aimée sourced hand-made, authentic pottery from a local artisan family for our wedding. Early on, Aimée identified our respect for nature and animals in our relationship and recommended locally made traditional Mexican animal bud vases for our dinning floral design and guest mementos. The end product was absolutely gorgeous and perfect in regard to aesthetics and our values. It warms our hearts that we supported a rural local artisan family through our union.Our wedding was also unique because we had two combined ceremonies. We had a “western” ceremony and a traditional Persian ceremony with a ‘Sofre’. Aimée played a pivotal role in the coordination of the ceremony with our family and our vendors. Our photographer, also a Todos Santos local, captured both ceremonies beautifully and even used a drone to get great overview shots of the venue and landscape!Throughout the whole planning process Aimée was always so warm, respectful, and genuine and her communication was consistently clear and effective. She also amazed us by her deep thoughtfulness, respect, and extremely close attention to our words and needs. We sometimes felt as though she was reading our minds! She made us feel confident and reassured throughout the whole process. Planning a destination wedding is no easy feat and we are so grateful that we found Weddings by Aimée at the start of our wedding journey. I cannot express enough how much we valued having Aimee coordinate our wedding. Above being a warm and friendly person to be around, she worked with us to make our wedding a very personal event, anticipated our guests' needs, and helped us to craft a unique and unforgettable destination wedding weekend. We had so many comments from our guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to.Now onto the details. My husband and I are Americans living in the UK. We planned a destination wedding weekend at Mt. Rainier, Washington. Being University professors, we like to think/pretend that we are fairly organized people, but planning a wedding from thousands of miles away brings a whole host of difficulties. However, Aimee really helped us bring all the pieces together. She was there for us from the beginning of our planning, to dancing the night away at our wedding, to eating pizza and roasting smores at the day-after party. One of the things that I most appreciated about Aimee is that she kept us grounded and focused on what was important. For example, we had scheduled in a date night for my husband and I, and another night for us to take our parents out to dinner. As we did a fair amount of DIY, requiring help from our families, it made everything run much more smoothly to have each day planned, with everyone's tasks assigned in advance. All of this really took a lot of stress out the craziness that is inevitable in the days leading up to a wedding, and we actually had so much fun! It was a bonding experience with our families, and it made the wedding so much more than just a single day.When it came to the actual event, Aimee was professional and kept everyone organized, including our crazy families as well as the vendors. She also brought her partner, Jake, who helped with coordinating the weekend, including working with our vendors in the week leading up to the wedding. By the way, Jake is also AMAZING! He became part of the family that weekend. He was professional while also letting loose when appropriate. Having Aimee and Jake meant that my husband and I got to enjoy ourselves without having to worry about all the coordination. Before walking down the aisle, I danced and sang with my brothers, laughed with my bridesmaids, was ready EARLY, and really felt so full of joy. And this is because I knew Aimee and Jake had everything covered. Dr Christopher Powell: Aimee at Weddings by Aimee is so present, focused and you can tell she loves what she does. This was a unique and challenge venue in West LA so we needed someone that had lots of experience. We met a couple other planners but Aimee came highly recommended by a friend. The property was in a very private upscale neighborhood so again, it was really important to me that she coordinated with vendors coming and going.- She helped us find great vendors and worked so well with a couple friends that were helping out. She’s also professional and easy to work with!- We felt she gave us creative and unique ideas while keeping our vision as her priority. Also, she’s a great listener but knows when to step in.- Our careers keep us very busy and we weren’t always available to meet vendors but Aimee was able to work with our demanding schedule and fill in when we couldn’t.- We had some guests where we needed to be mindful of privacy and security and Aimee has a team that works well with our ‘difficult’ security issues.If you’re looking for a gem in the industry, look no further. We highly recommend her.

Allen and his team really went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was everything we envisioned and more.. we got a package deal which was a great price and saved us the hassle of getting multiple vendors. They will happily customize your package to accommodate your needs. We got our photo/video as well as DJ, makeup & hair & even lighting for our venue.. makeup & hair were amazing khaye knew exactly the look I wanted to go for & she did exactly that. Walter & Michael did a great job with photos and video.. they even offer workshops for people that are camera shy so that they can learn to get more comfortable for the big day.. I don't know of any other company that offers that.. our dj was amazing, he even stayed extra since we were having so much fun.. I definitely reccomend Ambrosia for any event. They are very friendly and really get to know their clients on a pesosnal level which I love.. I will definitely use them again.

If we didn't have one, our venue was going to charge us more. Were we happy to find out that Ambrosia was pretty much a one stop shop for all our wedding needs. And an excellent one at that. Turns out Ambrosia would be the source for our photographer, hair and make up, day of coordinator, and our DJ. We had shopped around many bridal shows and needed to find a photographer who could capture light and dark skin tones together. When we met with Allen and Jina to figure out our needs, they were patient, fun, and attentive. They made sure we understood what Ambrosia could offer and there was no pressure to book, because Ambrosia Event Services sells itself. We were sold when Allen said they typically have couples do a practice photoshoot before your engagement shoot. There they will teach to how to stand and pose, so that your wedding photos will look more comfortable. Wow! Such attention to detail! Walter, our photographer, was Amazing! He was professional, funny, took beautiful shots, and captured exactly what we asked. He also threw in some surprise shots as well. For the wedding, we worked with Walter and Andrew, and having two photographers allowed us to capture almost every moment possible. Khaye, did my wife's hair and makeup. She did a practice run as promised a few days before the wedding and was really kind and attentive. My wife looked very natural and gorgeous. We had a death in our family weeks before our wedding and the venue kept changing our walkthrough day. Ambrosia was completely understanding and did everything they could to make all appointments with our venue. Due to the death in our family, we weren't able to meet extensively with DJ Jose, but we spoke on the phone often, and he was able to get all of our requested music and kept the party fun and light. Lastly, Amanda and Ashley stepped in as our Day of Coordinators and it seemed like they had been with us throughout the whole two years of planning. They were absolutely AMAZING! The entire day went off without an issue. They were able to connect with our videographers, decorating staff, and chefs to ensure that we had the most beautiful and fun day. Words cannot express how thankful we are to have found Ambrosia.
