Andrew Scott: I bought a tandem Starboard stand up paddle board, that also can be a solo windsurfing or tandem windsurfing board. Jeff and Carri were very helpful in finding the right tandem and pointers on how to set up.Also, took a windsurfing lesson from Jeff. Didn't have to bring anything, they had all the equipment you needed. Instruction was very helpful for a first timer. He made windsurfing an easy experience, not as hard as I imagined. Learned how to tack and jibe. I sailed in just a few hours
Elizabeth Louros: I bought a paddleboard here and had a great experience. Jeff really took the time to educate me about the different paddleboards he sells and helped me pick the right one for me. He spent over an hour showing me how to inflate the board, deflate the board, and fold it back in the bag. Excellent customer service.

Robert Roger: Jeff at Long Beach windsurf center is the last of his bread! Amazing customer service! I purchased a two person Kayak for my wife and I. When I arrived at the store for pick up the air kayak was in a box. Jeff, took the time to unbox, and assemble the kayak with step, by step instructions! He then disassembled, again with step by step instruction! I was shown how to fold the kayak, and fit kayak, paddle, seats, even the pump, in the carry bag. Originally I did not want the kayak. I figured it would never be used do to difficulty of use. Boy was I wrong! Jeff’s instructions made this kayak a breeze! We love it. Plenty of room! My wife, and I, our dog, and anything else we might need! Thank You Jeff!!!

Cindy Mac: I walked in and the place was crazy busy. I went up to the store manager Robert and asked if he could fix my broken leash on my bodyboard. He was so helpful and polite. He said it was a quick fix. He went to back of store and returned in 5 minutes with my leash fixed. I was so grateful that I purchased a pair of fins and and fin socks which I desperately needed anyway.I highly recommend this place. Good, hardworking people run this store.

As i walked back in, Sean was so apologetic & told me, after i left, he remembered he did have a few boards at $125. He gladly showed them to me, i found one i really liked & he even offered to intall my leash for me & gave me a few free goodies for my troubles. Great service! Sean has a loyal customer for life.

Once I scheduled my lesson thru their site, I was immediately contacted by staff member/owner Sabrina, who got a sense of my skill level and comfort zone. Until I began my lesson, the staff was in constant contact with me about gear preparation, wind forecasts, meeting locations, etc...My lesson was fun, engaging, and comfortable. My instructor, GP, was enthusiastic and professional while always keeping the focus on me as the student. In the two hours I was there, I learned how to launch my kite, do a water start, and even got some riding time in!Regardless of your level, if you want to get into kiteboarding in a safe and fun way, go to Captain Kirk's. Can't wait to watch this sport grow!

Andrew Fricker: The Guys at Captain Kirks are knowledgable and run a good shop. I had a small misunderstanding when I brought in a kite for repair and requested a quote for repair. There was a mix up and the quote was never given but the repair was still made. I was a little upset because the repair was rather large and more $$ than I had planned. They guys at the shop apologized for the mistake and gave me a discount on the repair which I really appreciated. The main thing I care about is a business being able to admit a mistake and make an effort to make up for the error to the customer, which they did. I am stoked on their service and will return to give them more business.
