Farley C: My client had a new garage door installed by GDI less than three months ago. Yesterday the garage door broke in the afternoon and was half open.The cables that lift and lower the garage door were winding around the main spindle and not the tracks they are supposed to sit on.We called, emailed, and texted during normal business hours that this was an emergency and a security issue.We didn’t hear back until this morning.We had to call another garage door service company to secure the home. They came out right away and fixed it. The tech noted that the tension on the main spring was not properly adjusted at install which is what caused the problem.I would not recommend these people as their customer service failed us both on the install and on an emergency repair that was needed.UPDATE:: Gates Doors & Ironworks replaced the side-mount system with a center pole, chain-driven system which appears to have solved the issues we were having.Thank you GDI.

S P: Leo and his team definitely deserve 5 stars. My car was stuck in the garage. My garage spring broke and we couldn’t open the door. It was an internal spring system. I called Leo on a Sunday. He stopped by to check it out. He explained how an external spring system would be better. Better for maintenance and future repairs…if needed. I liked him and what he said. So we set the appointment up to convert my internal springs system to an external spring system. Leo came through two days later and finished the job in a few hours. My garage was smooth and quiet again. Awesome work and good prices. Give them a call. Thank you again Leo.
