Stephan Anglin: This is a perfect haunt for the family. In 2021 the line was along the sidewalk, but this year they made a roped serpentine line in the street in front of the haunted house. The haunters are pretty adept at quietly sneaking up on people in line, which definitely makes the time pass until in the haunt.Before entering the haunt, a volunteer asks you what level of scare you want. If you have a sensitive member in your party, they give that member a glow stick and notify the scarers in the haunt ahead of time. They have the fog machine create a thick layer in the haunt, so the haunters can easily catch you by surprise. The inside of the haunt has creepy decorations at every one of its turns.The homeowner is a high school theater teacher with student volunteers to spook you in line and while in the haunted space in the front yard. Admission is free, but any donations go towards Long Beach Rescue Mission. They even have bins for canned foods to donate to the Rescue.
