Allana Ahovelo: This gym is everything! Liz runs a tight ship and she has something for everybody. She is knowledgeable in boxing and not only offers boxing training but was a very accomplished fighter herself. One of the coolest things Liz offers is training for people with special needs, particularly those with autism. If you or someone you know is on the spectrum this is a great resource. She offers one on one training for them that helps them develop fine motor skills as well as a huge amount of confidence. Liz makes you feel like family from the minute you walk through that door and I can’t wait to see her every time!!
Sol Box Fitness Club: I own a boxing gym in Miami FL, so I've never actually been to Guv'nor's Boxing Club. Yet I do know Liz the owner and I consider her a good friend and a very knowledgeable boxing instructor. Perhaps more important than the knowledge and experience she posses is the continued passion she has for the sport and for teaching. We did however train together at my club back in 2015 and we both held mitts for each other and shared our combinations and perspectives. We both came away with a huge respect for each other as a result of that training experience. Liz and I still stay in contact and support each other not only as coaches but as business owners. If I were on Long Beach or she here in Miami we definitely would be helping each other out more. If you're in the Long Beach Ca. area and are considering a boxing gym, I highly recommend going to train with her. Like I said, I don't know the gym physically, but I do her and she's the 100% truth.

Carlos East: This is an awesome place to come and work out, the classes are very good and The owner and coach Liz is there in all of them, making sure everyone is getting a good safe workout. Definitely never thought of boxing but I gave it a try and now love it. No judgment just nice people, from newbies like myself to the more experienced everyone is welcomed even kids.

Ismail M: The best! A front desk lady is very sweet , a trainer is magnificent! Very detailed, paying attention even that there was around 10-12 people in class . After my first class i felt drained, happy , thirsty and hungry :D . Life became colorful , the food I usually didn’t enjoy much , came out sooo tasty , stress is just died right there during the class :D . Definitely recommend.
Rocco Quaranta: I can't say enough about how satisfied I am that I chose this gym. Every coach is so welcoming, positive, and they make the atmosphere completely different than the big gyms. Nobody has their cell phone or doing photo shoots, everyone is willing to help each other and are very supportive. Monthly fee is well worth it for the amount of classes you have access to. I signed up for private instruction with Coach John Santos... He's phenomenal and we are already seeing results in my 3rd week. He's attentive, motivating, and well worth the money spent for the guidance. I'm going 5 days a week, and often stay to work on the things we work on.... Provided I can still move.. lolIt's old school rough around the edges, no egos, no fashion shows or photo ops.... If you're looking to get in shape, go here. TRULY JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE.

Doyle Fecher: Hardworx on 4th rocks! The coaches are very knowledgeable in their craft and always willing to help you to hone yours. I've been taking private MMA/BJJ lessons with coach Eugene who teaches many advanced techniques as well as the fundamentals. He has been an amazing coach!

I'd never taken any boxing classes before, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up, but the trainers here helped me throughout the classes. My kids are taking classes as well. How many gyms do you know of, that allow you to bring your kids also? If you're thinking about going in... Do it, don't even hesitate!

Mayweather Boxing + Fitess is located at the Marketplace Long Beach, in between Trader Joe's & CPK, facing 2nd Street.Gratitude to the entire staff at Mayweather Boxing + Fitness. Tough, but worth the effort, in the end. This was my first boxing session, and I had an absolute blast. Highly recommend!

Coach Petero: I come here in the mornings after dropping my kid off to school. I began working out here in my 2nd and some of my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. The coaches are professionals and this gym is not just for boxers, but for athletes of all sports or even those who don't play a sport. I am currently taking a break as I am in my final stretch of pregnancy. I do plan on going back, and maybe even enrolling my kids for some lessons.

Pam Distin: After just one week of training here my 14yr. old put his skills to work. An older kid tried to jump him for his phone and laptop and my son almost knocked him out🥊🥊. While I don’t believe in violence, I do believe in defending oneself! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Now I believe my son is ready for public high school after attending Christian private schools his entire life! Highly recommend for a great workout and self defense.
