Shameka Beauguard, originally born in Bakersfield Ca, was raised in the Antelope Valley her whole life.She grew up loving to work with group homes and with at risk youth.
She and her team work hard to ensure our youth minorities have equal opportunities when graduating high school and leaving foster homes. Shameka was inspired to start her nonprofit organization while working with at risk youth professionally for the past 16 years in group homes and transitional homes.
Youth With A Purpose is made up of four different components. Their Mommy Mentor Network, Purpose House-Transition Housing, Preforming Arts Program and Community and Outreach Program. Shameka will go through the agenda and check in with everyone daily to ensure they are happy and having fun. When asking about what age group they specifically target, her team stated " Age, race, sex is not important, there is something here for everyone and if there isn't, we'll create something for you!"
Shameka's team's goal is to take over the world by " Planting seeds of hope and watering purpose through supportive services" They are always accepting donations and volunteers! To become a volunteer visit their Instagram page and message them with the code "VOLUNTEER NOW"
