While we opened our cozy western wear store in downtown Del Mar, CA in 2000, the idea came decades earlier. In the late 1970s, David (the original Frustrated Cowboy) was given a Michael Garman cowboy statue that he found quite impressive. He decided to open a store for all the frustrated cowboys to “come find cowboy stuff to make their home or office into their own home on the range.” The store’s eventual buyer and co-owner—David’s wife Carol—is the (sometimes frustrated) cowgirl who handles daily operations, from ordering merchandise to assisting customers.
