We have a specially designed classrooms for children who are between the ages of 24 months and 3 years old.

The schedule for the toddlers is flexible as we follow a toddler’s specific needs. We focus on gross motor skills such as walking and step climbing with our inside play structure, and independent skills such as potty training as we use cloth diapers.

Our Preprimary classroom is a multiage environment for children 3-6 years old. That is preschool through kindergarten all in one! Each year builds on the privious year and is completed when your child is 6 years old.

Teachers get to know your child's specific needs during this unique experience and are able to meet an individual's developmental needs.

After multiple years in the preprimary environment children are ready to be leaders while they continue to grow. Children graduating from our program meet or exceed state standards for kindergarten and learn to love school and learning.

At Beginnings & Beyond we understand the need for families to have the option for summer enrollment. Our Summer program is offered separate from our school year, running from mid July through mid August for 7 weeks. Summer tuition is by the week to assist families who would like to take a vacation yet is comparable to our monthly tuition . Hours offered may be slightly different depending on the needs of the current families and the availability of teachers.

Angels Montessori Preschool is celebrating over 23 years of building educational foundation of children in our community. We put only the best into them so that so they can go out and make our city great a better place to live. Therefore AMS tries to remain the number one Montessori school in The Bay Area.

The school was dedicated to the social, physical, and educational development of young children. We accomplish this by providing the finest fully certified Montessori teachers, not assistants, to run the classrooms. In addition, AMS utilizes the proven Montessori Method to educate children. This ensures each element of the whole child at their own pace. The school’s main goal is to foster the whole child to their full potential.

We have specially designed our classrooms for our children. Our school sits on over an acre with a large play and garden area. Our classroom is filled with sunlight streaming windows, and spacious, uncluttered classrooms. It is a world scaled down to the child’s size with low shelves that is a wealth of learning materials. The teacher moves unobtrusively through the child-space, working with individual children or small groups, assisting each according to need.

Within a flexible schedule, the school day is typically spent as follows: a long block of time used for individual or small group activities; periods of time for outdoor play where children have a chance use their large muscles for climbing, running, digging in the sand, right tricycles; a time for juice and snacks; and time for large group activities where the children enjoy music, dancing, puppetry, singing and story telling.

Our goal is to help students build healthy self-confidence, self-discipline and develop a curiosity and love of learning that will prepare them for whatever their life’s purpose becomes.

Our outdoor environment is a unique place where children learn and are inspired by the natural world’s rhythms and wonders. When the school year begins in August, the children help harvest the last of our summer crops from the vegetable garden. As fall sets in, we gather apples from the trees and prepare applesauce for our snacks. In Fall, we watch the leaves change color, then drop, and observe as our horse, rabbits, and goats grow their thicker coats in preparation for winter. Cool-weather crops are then set out, compost turned, and the soil prepared for spring planting. Spring itself is a riot of activity as the orchard trees unfold their new leaves, the chickens begin laying again, and the buzz of busy insects signal pollination has begun again.

Flooded with natural light, the spacious classroom features low shelves where children can choose from hundreds of individual and small group activities. A second, smaller room serves as a place for music classes, naps, and supplemental play activities. A one-way observation window allows parents to watch the class in progress whenever they wish. The owners have made additions and improvements to the exterior and interior of the building since its founding.
