4worldlovers: We were unexpectedly introduced to mead in 2010, and since then we haven’t been able to get enough. At the time, the selection and variety of meads available in Southern California was extremely limited and the craft beer scene was just taking off. To satiate our appetite for mead we started to make our own at home and we began to share our creations with friends and family. What started as a hobby quickly evolved into much more.

Honey Pot started in mid-2014 as just a dream, we wanted to share our love and passion for mead with as many people as we could. Little more than a year later we pitched our first batch of mead and ordered our first barrels, all with the help of our friends in Oceanside, California. In 2017, we signed the lease for our tasting room and held our first anniversary on February 9th 2019.

The selection of pasta plates will have you exclaiming “perfetto” with choices like spaghetti Bolognese, fettuccine shrimp Alfredo, and roasted vegetable lasagna.

Specialties of the house also include rib-eye steak, chicken Parmesan and grilled salmon.

Since no meal is complete without something sweet, try the tiramisu. If your preference is for something liquid, try one of our dessert wines or cocktails for an exquisite ending to your Italian feast.

With more than 25 different wines by the glass, you can be assured of finding the perfect vintage to complement your meal. Every entrée is listed with an ideal pairing, but feel free to ask for further recommendations, as we occasionally add new selections to our list. From Carneros to Venice, many of the world’s top wine-growing regions are represented. Not sure what to order? Wine flights are a wonderful way to sample the restaurant’s cellar. You can, of course, also order wine by the bottle.

Sangria and a range of domestic, imported and premium beers are also served to Guests 21 and over.
