Shady Oasis Kampground opened in 1967 as the Shady Oasis KOA, and has hosted millions of campers since that time. In 1988 we added one-room cabins to our campground and they have been going strong ever since. More recently, in 2007, we left the KOA franchise, and are now simply the Shady Oasis Kampground.


Our campground can accommodate everything from tents to RV's, and is open all year round. We are located in the “High Desert” of southern California, and the daytime temperatures can range from 50-110 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year. Night temperatures are generally 25-35 degrees below the day time temps.

I love the life I have here and the High Desert is my home. I have three amazing children and we love to be outdoors. We like to off road in the desert, snowboard, hike, and to go boating.

I worked for State Farm in our corporate law department for 9 years prior to be becoming an agent. I worked for as a paralegal for 14 years in the insurance industry and I would hear too often, only after something tragic had already happened, "I didn't know/understand the coverage I had." I have been serving State Farm customers for over sixteen years. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We moved to the high desert for the love of dirt bikes and trail riding. We have four children that are home-schooled on our desert ranch. We work hard raising many livestock animals. My husband is an exceptional cook and keeps us all well fed.
