4worldlovers: For incoming freshmen in all academies, this one-week program is offered in August. All academy programs run concurrently on campus with both academy-specific activities and combined activities.

Students will be introduced to woodworking, metalworking, solid modeling, 3-D printing, laser cutting, and coding. By the end of this program, each student will learn to use various tools in the shop, master how to create graphic designs that can be laser engraved onto wood or metal, create 3-D models using industry-grade CAD software, and understand how to 3-D print.

Students will have the opportunity to learn web development and design basics, along with basic programming concepts fundamental to the study of computer science. Throughout the program, every student will learn to create their very own websites from scratch and understand basic looping and control structures used across various programming languages. These programming and web development fundamentals include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and each student will be well rounded in each.

Students will be introduced to the use of camera equipment, including the digital management of photos and footage, along with editing, broadcasting, and phone photography. Additionally, students will dabble in different forms of artistic composition, including drawing and painting with watercolors. By the end of this program, students will have gained the necessary skill sets and entry-level knowledge recommended for potential visual art classes.

Students will dabble between various forms of production art, including dance, public speaking, acting, and improvisation, while also learning about the behind-the-scenes aspects of costume and prop design. By the end of this program, students will have a solid grasp on the ins and outs of the world of performance at Rancho Campana High School.

Students will be exposed to hands-on experiments that teach proper lab safety and equipment usage, all while putting their newfound knowledge to use. Topics range from first aid and microorganisms to forensics and the human body, and there will be a special emphasis on the importance of mental health and the available resources on campus to help. By the end of this program, students will be well-prepared to enter the world of science coursework and gain the skill sets needed for high school success.

RCMakes is a non-profit conglomerate operated by students at Rancho Campana High School. Services include an online store selling wares made by students, a community makerspace, a build-to-spec job shop for individual and business customers, expanded learning programs for incoming and current high school students, video production, software development and graphic design.
