Swim With Gale’s teaching starts with a foundation based on safety. Every swimmer will gain a healthy understanding and respect for the water, both inside and around it.


Gale believes you are unique. She proceeds at the student’s pace depending on their proficiency, with gentle and stimulating words of encouragement. Our progressive teaching style focuses on the individual’s needs, fears, and abilities. Our concurrent approach, introducing water safety simultaneous to swimming instruction, ensures a positive respect and understanding of your own capabilities and limitations in the swim environment. As the student develops confidence in the water, they will be able to enjoy it!

Goal: If a student falls into a pool (or any body of water) they will have a sense of calm and the muscle memory of what to do! Students learn, “I am ok, just wet,” and know how to get to the side of the pool and out. Students learn a simple easy routine for navigating the water:

Once you have mastered this foundation, we can build upon your skills, enabling you to become a stronger, safer, and happier swimmer.

Perfect the skills from Step 1. Introduce rudiments of swim strokes for freestyle and backstroke.

You will learn elementary backstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke, butterfly, flip turns, basic diving, and basic life-saving skills. Once these strokes are learned, and skills become stronger, we move towards perfecting technique. We also teach students what to do if an accident happens and how to assist someone in need.

You will learn to love being in and around the water once you start. You will progress at your own pace with our one on one classes. As a result, you will achieve your swim goals faster and easier.
