As a child, Chef Rhonda was coaxed into the kitchen by her Grandma, LillieMae Gaulden as well her Mother, Peggy Gaulden - who’s homes were always open to the town for all to come get a home cooked meal. These ladies cooked food that was guaranteed to touch your soul! Rhonda was inspired! She quit her semi-conductor career and followed her dreams. Upon graduation from Culinary school, she immediately opened her first Soul Food Restaurant - House of Soul Food, which she later changed to LilleiMae’s House of Soul Food in honor of her late Grandmother.

Rhonda and the Gaulden Family continues the legacy through their catering services. Serving the Bay Area and surrounding cities.
