4worldlovers: Join guest conductor Dr. Troy Davis and the San Jose Wind Symphony as we salute our county’s birthday with a good, old-fashioned concert in the park. Enjoy patriotic songs, show tunes, marches and more as we celebrate more than two decades headlining the annual Los Gatos Fourth of July festivities.


The concert is free, so come early and bring lawn chairs, blankets, sunscreen and plenty of water. There’ll be rides and games for the kiddies, beer and wine for the adults, and delicious food for everyone.

4worldlovers: PACO is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Krijnen as its next Music Director beginning in the 2023-24 season – only the third since its inception with William Whitson in 1966.


Scott extends PACO’s tradition of excellence in the world of music performance, conducting and music education, all while humbly walking the talk and inspiring others to truly live the tenets of PACO’s motto, “Plays Well with Others.” Scott began his association with PACO 18 years ago as a coach at PACO Camp and has been involved and dedicated to PACO every year since. He is an alum of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where he received his master’s in Cello Performance, and began his career performing around the globe as an orchestral member, soloist as well as a chamber musician, touring with the KAS Piano Trio in Korea and Taiwan. His career in conducting also spans not just many years but many miles, conducting both domestically and with the Brasov Filarmonica in Romania. Scott founded and has led the Cambrian Symphony in San Jose since 2015, and under his direction, received KDFC’s Best of the Bay: Best New Music Performances and Best Discovery award.

Through his many opportunities and experiences, Scott found his true calling in teaching. A truly gifted, inspirational educator, PACO’s next Music Director has built music programs for all ages: elementary, middle and high schools, collegiate level and professional orchestras. His orchestral program at Castillero Middle School grew from just 80 to now over 350 string players, while raising nearly $400,000 to support the purchase of instruments so that all students, no matter what income level, have free and equal access to quality musical education.
