Our school caters to children from 2 to 6 years old, and is now accepting enrollments.

4worldlovers: Founded in 1976, Rainbow Montessori began on a small school site in Campbell. Operations expanded over the years to include six more small school sites located across the South Bay Area. In the mid-80's, those seven small schools were consolidated into three larger schools, which were eventually consolidated into the current site, located on the former campus of Sunnyvale High School.

Our current site affords us the space to provide care and education for over 400 children, ranging in age from six weeks to fifth grade. The Montessori philosophy is utilized in all infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary programs.

The last 3 years have been challenging and we are relieved that the future is looking so much brighter. We managed to make it through the pandemic without increasing our rates, but it’s been 4 years since our last increase and an adjustment is now required. You will find our new rate schedule effective July 1, 2023 available on our website.

Along with the increase we are also adding a weekly option during the summer program that I think many of you will find beneficial.

Our school offers a rich bilingual Montessori learning environment for Preschool (2 – 6 years old), After School (TK/K – 5th grade), and Summer Camp (entering TK/K – 5th grade) children.

By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.

We have mixed age classes, so the younger can see the older children model how to do things properly, and the older ones learn empathy and a desire to help the younger learn something new. This creates a strong sense of accomplishment on both sides. When the younger child successfully completes something they saw the older child do, it's a wonderful bond between them.

Each class rotates through the Montessori areas of Practical Life/Art, Sensorial, Language and Math/Geography/Science. Each class also has a gardening area that they help to plant, cultivate and harvest from.

Songs about Jesus & bible stories pertaining to the current worship theme (changes every 3 weeks). We also celebrate the children's birthdays during this portion of our day.

After outside time, & before Free Play, we have our last circle of the day. This one focuses on our current science theme & fun songs. Our school-wide Science Theme changes every 3 weeks, so there is always something fun & new to learn.
