Ananda Gurukula is a 501 3C non-profit organization dedicated to awakening the human spirit and sharing the ancient mystic wisdom of yoga.


MISSION: Ananda Gurukula shares the beautiful teachings of Baba to assist people in connecting with their Divine presence and to know Truth. It is dedicated to bringing traditional Yogic teachings and practices to light to aid people on their path to self realization.


WHAT WE DO: Through Ananda Gurukula, Maetreyii Ma shares with you the teachings in this website, in the blog, in the podcasts and on the videos, making the sacred teachings given in the Baba talks free to all.


Through Ananda Gurukula, Maetreyii Ma is able to offer diiksha, mentoring, retreats, webinars and workshops on the ancient knowledge of yogic teachings.


Through Ananda Gurukula Maetreyii Ma and those around her are able to operate the Ananda Kamalalaya Ashram in Santa Rosa, offer meditation practices, and provide local weekly meditation evenings, called Dharmachakra, Kirtan evenings and Satsanga.

In addition, Ananda Gurukula publishes books and the Baba inspirational writings on many Yoga related and social change topics.

Ananda Gurukula's work is based on the teachings of our Guru, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, a great renaissance thinker who’s innovative ideas and great love for humanity has inspired many and the intuitive teachings given, by his grace, through Maetreyii Ma.

Ananda Gurukula focus is on sharing the wisdom teachings of the yogic tradition, teaching spiritual practices; exploration of Feminine Mysticism, new paradigms for development and innovative spirit based science, yogic understanding of the nature of our existence and how our minds work, the therapeutic application of yogic knowledge, and yoga's understanding of how to free ourselves from suffering and move towards enlightenment. Our approach is based on reverence for all life.

The first area in which Ananda Gurukula provides service is spiritual. Ananda Gurukula offers practical approaches for individual spiritual development through meditation and yoga, utilizing the eight limbs of ashtanga yoga, as taught by our Guru, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. Ananda Gurukula provides a community to support the spiritual growth of Individuals, provide positive social activities, and give opportunities to express compassion through social service.

​Yogic health practices are taught to bring mind-body vitality. And feminine mysticism practices are encouraged for the spiritual growth of women. Ananda Gurukula holds Meditation retreats several times a year to gather in the community and bring inspiration to our practices.

Second is disseminating metaphysical and mystical knowledge, based in the subtle science of Tantra and Yoga, to assist in the psycho-spiritual development of both individuals and society. Ananda Gurukula offers books, intuitive spiritual discourses on all knowledge areas and retreats to fulfill this service goal.

The third area explored in the Baba talks is neo-humanism—an approach that provides a unifying value base for society and an outlook that fosters respect for all living beings. A meta movement based in neo-humanism can unite and provide common cause for ecological, human rights, sustainability, social justice, and humanitarian movements.

​The fourth area covered in the teachings is the development and promotion of the Progressive Utilization Theory (PROUT). PROUT is a new paradigm of development intended to guide society toward a balanced, equitable, dynamic and wholesome expression. It is a progressive and comprehensive social theory, articulated within a spiritual outlook.
