A slow and sensual workout brings us back to the present moment and helps calm your nervous system, reducing anxiety and stress. Focusing on what your body is feeling also helps alleviate an overactive “monkey mind” and you become less reactive, more calm and loving over time.

Slowing down helps you become more aware of your senses and become more sensual (meaning you are more aware of your 5 senses - not just sexuality). When you heighten your experience of the senses, you feel more alive and more easily able to tune into what feels good to your body.

Women struggling with sexual trauma or abuse that has not been addressed with a therapist. Some of our students come to us on the recommendation of their therapist, but it is only after they are in a stable place in their healing process and are ready to reclaim their bodies and sexuality without being easily triggered or feeling unsafe in their body, then they are ready for our classes. Although our teachers are trauma informed, they are not therapists. We highly recommend you check with your mental health provider before you start any of our programs.

Choose the best level for you! We are not like your typical dance fitness program. We teach the choreography in our lower level classes so students can truly let go and dance it out in our upper level classes. Bay Area Dancers! This is the perfect opportunity to get back into the studio space. Melissa teaches every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15-7:15pm at KG Fitness Studio. The perfect opportunity for NEW STUDENTS to join in. As the program progresses, Melissa will mostly run DV Signature classes (Level 3) and DV Form/Breakdown only when new choreo is introduced to the consistent group.

If you are a new student or returning and need to catch up on some songs, look here first then go to WollenDance.com type the name of the song in the SEARCH to get the level 1 Breakdown class. These update weekly.






Once signed up for WollenDance, jump on zoom to dance with other DV students during a LIVE class. You must have two devices and strong wifi to join. It's fun and motivating to see others doing the choreo with you. If you mess up, don't worry everyone is watching on a different screen and no one is completely synced up. Eventually this feature will be on WollenDance.
