4worldlovers: The Golden Gate Park Senior Center is a recreation center dedicated to the enjoyment of quality activities for all seniors age 55 and over. Our goal is to provide seniors with programs to improve/maintain their physical, intellectual, and social well-being. We offer classes to seniors, who are interested in dancing, exercise, bridge games, art classes, bingo, language classes, and more. We are located on the northwest side of Golden Gate Park.

4worldlovers: A nutritious, well-balanced, Japanese-style hot lunch is provided 5 days a week, Monday through Friday (except major holidays) in a communal-tables setting. The menu is carefully planned and prepared by our Nutritionist and staff to ensure each meal is healthy, nutritionally balanced and adequately proportioned for seniors.

Kimochi Senior Lunch will be CLOSED from Feb 20th to Feb 24th, 2023 due to renovations.

Our weekday Community Dining services has oversight by San Francisco’s Office on Aging. Guidelines for participation and pricing are noted below.

Regular nutrition education presentations and information are also provided to assist participants in maintaining their health and well-being. Meals are provided on a first come first served basis. Reservations are taken for senior groups. Transportation is also available for seniors who are unable to drive or take public transportation.

Requires completion of the San Francisco citywide Intake Assessment, a nutrition assessment with Kimochi staffs, AND

Spouse or domestic partner of a senior enrolled in the program, or

An individual under the age of 60 with a disability who resides in housing facilities occupied primarily by older adults at which the Community Dining service is located, or

A disabled individual who resides at home with and accompanies a senior who participates in the program

A voluntary contribution per meal is appreciated; voluntary contribution amount is set by the San Francisco Office on Aging guidelines and is subject to change.

Reservations for both seating times are currently full. However, there are a minimum of 20 seats available for walk-in clients at each seating so please come join us! If you would like to be put on the waitlist for future reservations, please do so in person at Kimochi Senior Center during lunch hours; 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

At Curry Senior Center we make sure our seniors stay in their homes and their communities. We offer integrated health care, housing, case management support, meals and community activities for all seniors, especially our most vulnerable, low income or homeless.

From Wellness to Behavioral Health, our programs help make sure we take care of the whole person.

Our community’s seniors deserve access to health care, and our Primary Health Clinic makes it possible.

Housing is part of healthcare, which is why we have an apartment complex for once-homeless seniors.

4worldlovers: Since 1966, Self-Help for the Elderly has provided assistance and support to seniors in the San Francisco area. We provide trustworthy and devoted care for seniors to promote their independence, dignity and self-worth. Our non-profit services and companionship help guide seniors to wellness and happiness. We want to contribute to longer, healthier, more purposeful lives for seniors.

In partnership with The San Francisco Department of Disability and Aging (DAS), we run a program called CHAMPSS. CHAMPSS, or Choosing Healthy Appetizing Meal Plan Solutions for Seniors, helps promote healthy, active living among seniors.

Self-Help provides apartment complexes for independent living in some of San Francisco’s highly sought after areas. Our housing is affordable and comes with licensed quality care.

At Self-Help for the Elderly, we train and provide house cleaning services and commercial cleaning services. Our services can be scheduled on a weekly, bi-weekly or one time only basis.

Activities and events are held everyday to encourage active and healthy lifestyles for seniors. Participants partake in recreational and educational activities and are provided with nutritional meals.

From the beginning, we have provided guidance and solutions for case management, elder advocacy, counseling, naturalization and in-home support to the residents of the San Francisco area.
