We currently offer in-person and online music lessons seven days a week from morning through evening to accommodate everyone's busy schedule. Feel free to put down your top three choices for a lesson time on the Request Info Form so we can help you locate the best options.

Our schools in the Sunset District of San Francisco and Moraga of the Lamorinda area run year round, and we do not require semester minimum for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.

It has been our tradition that every year, our students are offered at least SIX recital opportunities to perform. Every Winter & Summer, the recitals are held in-person at a formal concert hall. During the pandemic, we hosted over 12 virtual recitals on zoom to stay connected with our students and families.

We offer students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents and teachers are proud, and everybody is happy. We also specialize in music lessons for adults.

Our full-time office team is available to assist our clients quickly and professionally 7 days a week.

4worldlovers: The harmonica is one of the most fun and recognizable instruments, used worldwide in nearly every musical genre, most notably in blues, American folk music, jazz, country and rock ‘n’ roll. There are many types of harmonica, including diatonic, chromatic and tremolo versions.

The ukulele is an instrument that is rich with history and tradition. First appearing in Hawaii in the 1800s, the ‘uke' has found a unique home for itself in both traditional and popular music. Artists as diverse as Eddie Vedder, Amanda Palmer, Don Ho, and Jason Mraz have all made use of the ukulele over the years to add a special something to their classic songs.

Jed Lingat is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music and has spent years making a living as a bass player in NYC. His teaching stems from his experience as a gigging musician as well as almost 20 years of playing. A few artists Jed has performed/recorded with are Childish Japes, J. Hoard, Sami Stevens, and Matthew Hartnett & The Gumbo All-Stars.

I’ve worked with Jed for over a decade and he continues to teach me new ways to improve the quality of my playing in a way that’s fun and exciting.

Riley Hagan created Bass Lessons Unlimited in 2002 and was one of the early pioneers of on-line bass education in 2009. He has taken the most effective elements he has learned from his professors at Berklee College of Music, as well as studying with the brilliant Michael Manring, and refined his teaching method with more than a thousand students over the last 20 years.

Riley has been the only teacher so far that has made a big difference in my playing.

Pat Abbott has a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Music Education from Nazareth College of Rochester. He possesses 18 years of professional music experience and 15 years of teaching experience. He has had the pleasure of performing with Bill Watrous, as well as many other artists, and currently performs with Triple Play Quartet. Pat enjoys teaching both upright and electric bass to students of all skill levels.

Pat’s guidance has been instrumental in my development as a bass player.

Ben Wallace-Ailsworth, an alumni of the Berklee College of Music, has over 15 years of professional music experience and over 8 years of teaching experience. He has performed and studied with various, well-known artists including Jay Lane (Primus, Ratdog) and Sheila E. (Prince).

Fantastic lessons. Riley is attentive in gauging both affirming lesson selections according to students’ interest and challenging new territory. His warm support and fun manner welcome kids and adults alike. His own musical talent is a great role model and mentor for players. I was heartbroken when my last teacher relocated, but then so happy I found Riley!

I have taken lessons with Riley for six months now, with very positive results. He has a good teaching method and is very patient and easy going. He is flexible with his approach and willing to spend time answering questions. I would highly recommend him as an instructor for anyone wishing to learn the bass.
