Nancy Freedman: What a great day! James was able to give us a local experience at the market, and introduce us not only to produce we would be enjoying later but also introduce us to the market community of wonderful people. His relaxed approach and knowledge about our meal gave us the confidence to recreate it on our own another day! We will definitely be back to recreate our experience in the future! Thanks James for making our “girls day” so relaxing!

JulieJoe crowley: I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot . Chef Stefano explains well the science behind and the history of the dishes. The Carbonara was delicious. Understanding the steps and timing is key to the dish. I’m sure I’ll be taking more classes.

Patrick Welch: Our firm spent our holiday party cooking with Emily. We had a great time and learned a lot! She made us feel like we were cooking with a friend at home. Highly recommend!!!

Michael Menter: Chef Emily was GREAT! She was great at breaking everything down and making everything make sense. This class is great for any from a complete beginner to an experience cooker. A+

Emmanuelle Poublan: It is always better to learn while doing, this is really the experience we had with Emily. She was really competent, and made us confident, we could ask questions and improve our skills.Plus, the appartment is really nice so we hade a good moment cooking and dining.

E. Dennis: Had a wonderful class with Emily at the end of May. We learned lots of new skills, had great conversation. Emily is a delightful host/teacher and of course, the food was delicious! Highly recommended. We will be back for another class as soon as we are back in SF

Peter Harvey: Emily was charming and took charge of the training while simultaneously making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Emily's venue is beautiful and the event was a huge success. As a team building exercise this was second to none. Also, the food turned out wonderfully! Be sure to ask about the cocktail option as well.

Meredith Illig: 100% recommend. Very hands-on and personalized, and much different from most cooking classes where everything is pre-measured. Great view overlooking San Francisco. I was able to learn many new kitchen skills. I feel confident that I can make these recipes at home.

Regina OConnor: Super experience. Emily is a fantastic cook and a great teacher. We all learned so much that night. Also fabulously delicious dinner at the end. The Woebot team loved this it was a great social team building experience. I recommend it 100% The staff are already asking when we can do it again!

Angela Caruzo: My boyfriend and I were gifted two passes for Christmas for this culinary class and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Emily was hands on, attentive, and informative in her presentation of ingredients and recipes. Definitley recommend her class for a special date night where you’ll leav with more than a few new tricks for the kitchen.

James Dillard: My wife and I attended a class for my birthday. It was wonderful. Emily is a great teacher and has such a fun environment. We made great food and stretched our skills. It was a blast.

Julia Karr: . The menu was great

Maria Sipka: This was hands down the best team experience I've ever had! A stunning location with gorgeous view, intimate homely setting beautifully decorated, a gracious and 'on a mission' host who juggled a team of 16 remarkably smoothly. The combination of cooking, instructions, mingling and no pressure to get involved is what made this a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend it to groups of people looking for something unique and memorable.

Ashley Hayes: Emily is amazing! An incredibly hospitable chef, with knowledge for new and seasoned cooks alike. Great for big groups and birthday parties.

J: i learned a lot

Nisha Zemlin: I took the pasta, cookie and knives skills class and all were helpful and taught me amazing recipes that I cook at home now.

Sanel Selimovic: Great experiences and classes, a must for any foodie.

Salazar: Great facility. Great instructors. Great ingredients.

W B: I've been too cooking classes here many times and I always learn something new. Great chefs leading the class and great friendships made along the way with the other class participants. If you are in town for a few days, or a local this is the perfect place to go to learn how to cook a particular dish, or learn an overview of a regional style. You get to eat the food you cook after the lessons are all over and great wine is providedHighly recommended if you can fit it into your schedule. Classes, date, and, and times are posted on their website!

K A: Always an enjoyable afternoon or evening here, learning new dishes, meeting new people, and eating good food.

yanuar keren: Very good

Meredith B.: My boyfriend and I took Matthew Dolan's "Simply Fish" class last week. From the description, it seems the class will teach one how to cook the fish based on several flavour profiles and what's in season. This ended up being more of a "really fun activity class". Chef Dolan definitely told us where to buy good fish in SF, and taught us what to ask for from Whole Foods in terms of preparation, but it was almost a bit too casual. I would have preferred taking away a few fundamental skills. Great overall activity to do with a friend or significant other, and food was very fresh and contained clean ingredients!

Dan Dion: I took David Groff's 3-night class in "Fish and Shellfish Fundamentals". I thought I would come out of it with several great seafood recipes that I could feed my family. How wrong I was! This class teaches you all of the TECHNIQUES and manner of cooking fish and shellfish- poaching, smoking, frying, etc. I thought I'd be able to go to a fish counter and always find a fish I could cook. Instead I now look at the fish counter and know a couple of different ways I could cook EVERY fish and shellfish. I feel like an entire section of the grocery store has now opened up to me to create restaurant-quality meals.David is a knowledgeable, humorous, skillful teacher, and the classes are 80% hands-on. The fish we worked with were of the highest quality. A bit of wine at the end lubricates the group and everyone sits down for a seafood feast each night. I highly recommend this class.

Jimmy Cheung: Excellent cooking class. Friendly instructors, large clean kitchens, and plenty of kitchen supplies/utensils.

The crown jewel piece of our Team lunch at 18 Reasons was the apple pie topped with ice cream. So light, so tenderly crispy, just enough to make your taste buds perform a happy dance and send you home with a memory of a great mid-April afternoon spent in the company of amazing people! I’m looking forward to our next Team outing at 18 Reasons and I highly recommend it to everyone who loves great food for soul and stomach!

Sarah Odeh: Went for a community meal. Pretty good flavors but the ramen was cold when it came out. Good space, friendly staff.

The owners were very attentive, the food was fresh, so tasty, and was a great representation of the space. Just what I was hoping for. They also had great internet and projecting capabilities, perfect for work group meetings.

Josh Estelle: Awesome place for a meal. Community focus, super tasty. Love their producer dinners where you hear a farmer, or brewer, or vinter talk about their craft, and you get to enjoy their tasty product. Yum!

San Francisco Baking Institute: what do users think?

michelle crath: The SFBI experience is truly exceptional. Every aspect of the 3 weeks I spent at SFBI exceeded my expectations. The kind a helpful administration team will guide you through their wide range of course offerings and help you to pick those that are best suited to your needs. You will receive the highest level of instruction in a welcoming environment and leave at the end of each day with not only a wealth of knowledge and skills, but the most delicious products you have ever tasted. I highly recommend SFBI for both professional and non-professional bakers.

Kate Radosevic: I’ve been using the Advanced Bread and Pastry text book for years in the production bakery setting, and finally had a chance to attend the Artisan 1 class earlier this month. Wow! The curriculum, instruction, staff, production team, equipment - all of it made for an excellent learning experience that somehow made me even more excited about bread and pastry than I already was. Big thanks to the whole team who shared so much with us! Can’t wait to come back for more.

Robert Sharp: The two day course “Viennoiserie” was most enlightening. I came away with the knowledge and confidence to create a variety of pastries far in excess of what I expected. The course instructor is a true professional baker who left no question unanswered. The instruction is well worth the tuition. You too can be a baker.

Gabriel Barrera: IT'S A CRAZY THING.... VERY DELICIOUS.. VERY GOOD SERVICE THE BEST COFFEE PASTRY IN ZARAGOZA

Justine Nghiem: Amazing experience for both pro and home bakers . I took 2 courses and plan to take more

Juliana Chea: I just took the Artisan 1 systematic approach to bread making class with Stephan Barbiero and it was AMAZING. I would consider myself a pretty experienced home baker with regard to cookies, cakes, scones and the like but had always been too intimidated by bread to try it at home. This five day course taught me so much. Stephan is an incredible instructor who broke down very complex information in an easy to digest way, continually checked for understanding of concepts and created a very hands on, open environment for students to do/touch/make mistakes and ultimately learn! The course is not for the faint of heart - it is both physically and mentally challenging but well worth it to tap in to Stephan’s knowledge. Wonderful experience that’s equipped me to be a more confident baker - if you are thinking about it, think no more!

Dee P: A wonderful place full of wonderful, caring, knowledgeable people! Can't wait to come back!

Freyka Arcentales (BiaMar Food): Highly recommend, if you want to learn bread and bread business, don't miss out!I read in a review that someone could not pick up the pace with the instruction, that is completely not true! The course is well designed and structure to perfection, they thought as many different type of breads and what is more important they thought us a different technique with each! So that later we can apply ourselves and be bakers! Bakery is a fast paced business, baking at home is also for a fast pace mom! This course is great for both.

Roshan shakya: Positive Professionalism

Marcus Costa: Perfect

Jean Keane: Excellent , I enjoyed and learned so much about baking.

Hen Pastry Chef: The best place in the world! I already take 3 courses in the SFBI and I probably go back for more !The programs are very interested and informative you learn a lot !! And make a lot of stuff!Don't think twice if to go or not Im sure you won't disappointed! The teachers are super nice have a lot of knowledge ! Very professional and super patient

Ángel Cas: Best school for artisanal baking in the country.
