Conducted each year only between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this brief holiday promotion is an important training school in the basics of sales, particularly for new residents. Holiday buyers can also find at our tree lots mistletoe, indoor tree lights, decorated wreaths, living potted pines, tree removal bags and water bowls for trees. Flame retardant is also available. In addition to tree lots, our commercial decorating division sells large trees and decorates banks and large corporate headquarters in San Francisco and Los Angeles for the holidays. Residents not only create the designs but craft the decorations each year.

The Delancey Street Christmas Tree Lots have made a few changes due to COVID. Our main concern is to not only bring a little holiday joy but also to keep our customers and staff safe and healthy.

Smaller amounts of people will be allowed on the lot at one time, but don’t worry…you can come for curbside pick-up and still breathe in the fresh pine fragrance and renew your holiday spirit! Every year since 1947, The Guardsmen organization has sold Christmas trees in San Francisco to benefit at-risk youth in the Bay Area. As an all-volunteer organization, members take time away from work in December to don green jump suits, drive delivery trucks, and get their hands dirty handling and standing Christmas trees.

Members of The Guardsmen believe that the many opportunities afforded them in achieving personal success are directly related to the broad range of positive experiences they were fortunate to have growing up. The Guardsmen mission is to provide under-privileged youth in the Bay Area opportunities throughout their childhood to have positive life experiences outside the often-harsh realities of their daily lives.

The proceeds from this Christmas tradition have given tens of thousands of at-risk kids the opportunity to attend summer camps, after school programs and private schools. Thank you for participating in this tradition and supporting the less fortunate members of our community. We look forward to seeing you down at "the lot" again this year!
