I am based out of Seattle and I work as a web developer. I am learning Mandarin because I am half-Chinese and really haven’t prioritized learning any of the language up to this point in my life, and I’d like to get a bit more in touch with my roots.

I'm known to most people as Sally in Canada and in the US, but my Korean name is Yousong, which apparently means creative pine tree. I am an architectural designer in Seattle, and I am learning Mandarin because I wish to be able to communicate on a deeper level with my boyfriend's family, who are all Chinese.

I'm an independent game developer aspiring to learn Mandarin Chinese to converse with friends, better understand the Chinese games and tech market, and learn more about the general culture. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing video games, cooking, and going on bike rides.

With over 10 years of experience, our locally owned and operated art school offers the highest quality Mandarin art classes, Chinese art classes, kids summer camp, painting and drawing classes. Our experienced and skillful teachers speak native Mandarin including Lin Wei-Chinese American artist and arts educator, who is on site and ready to teach your children.

We specialize in teaching art and Mandarin to children from ages 5 to 18. We also offer summer camp, spring-break camp, and day camps for children from kindergarten through 5th grade. The camp curriculum includes Mandarin course work at various levels of Mandarin fluency. The curriculum also includes drawing, painting, singing, dancing, calligraphy, arts, and crafts. Special sessions are available for adults interested in painting, dancing, or Mandarin during the morning and noon hours.

4worldlovers: Fun With Mandarin Preschool is a Progressive Reggio Emilia Influenced Chinese (Mandarin) Immersion preschool and care program for children 18 months and through entry into kindergarten in San Francisco. We aim to offer a large variety of deeply-enriching and complete indoor and outdoor experiences to support the comprehensive and linguistic development of children. We seek to work with parents through a strong, supportive community approach to supporting whole-child development. We are located near City College and are conveniently accessible from Highway 280, 101, and 19th Avenue. Our recently-created Capitol Avenue facility consists of over 3,000 square feet of indoor and over 3,200 square feet of outdoor space carefully designed by experts in early childhood education. We are “Reggio Emilia Influenced” in our child-centered and community-supported orientation, while at the same time, we seek to integrate the best elements of other philosophies that emphasize project-based and play-based learning together with our knowledge of up-to-date Early Childhood Education concepts to create deeply-enriching learning environments and curriculum.

Our hours are 8:15 am to 5:45 pm, Monday through Friday. Children are provided with healthy meals throughout the day that include an am snack, lunch, and pm snack. We offer two-day, three-day, and five-day schedules and rolling enrollment throughout the year, though the majority of students begin in the summer and early fall after other students graduate.
