We offer eight levels of group lessons for youth players from New Beginner level to National Master level. And small group Master class, Intensive Training Camps, Private Lessons, GAT program (Gifted and Talented training program, former KLC US Team class) and rated tournaments. We aim to develop successful chess kids who excel not only in the game, but in life. Chess for World, Wisdom for Life. Over the past ten years, KLC has trained thousands of young chess players and won many championships in world, national and state tournaments. Each year, several students are qualified for the TEAM USA. Over hundred students ranked in different age group of US top 100. In 2022, there are eight KLC students are invited to be the official US Representatives at the 2022 World Youth and Cadets Championships. In the US Top Player lists, KLC students are ranked No.1 and No.2 in several age groups.

King’s Land Chess offers a series of camps for intensive training. We welcome any child 6 -16 years to attend. ​KLC camps include Intensive Training camps, Grand Master camps, Tournament Preparation camps and Summer camps.

​The programs will provide chess training on chess tactics, opening repertoire, middle game Strategy, ending skills, game analysis, and other activities including quick and blitz games, bughouse game, chess 960 and trophy tournaments.

​9 weeks summer camps 6/5 - 8/3. Whole Day camp 9am - 4pm, Morning Session 9am -12pm, Afternoon Session 1pm - 4pm.

This summer, we are offering nine weeks intensive training camps from 6/5 to 8/3. All camps teaching materials are designed to be unique and different from one another. This means that no two camps will have the same teaching materials. This allows campers to experience new and different materials each time. We welcome any child of age 5 -17 years old and are opening for All Levels of Chess Players. During the day kids will get an opportunity to practice tournament games, enjoy our chess lectures, group chess analysis, individual chess training, and team match/blitz/puzzle contest/tournament/simultaneous with our professional chess coaches. Kids will be divided into small groups based on their level and age.

In this wonderful holiday season, we are very excited to announce that WE ARE BACK IN PERSON!

Finally, after almost 3 years online classes, KLC all levels in-person classes reopened in January 2023, online classes remains available on weekdays. In-person classes are available in both San Ramon and Newark office. ​Seats are limited, it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. ​Coach to student ratio is 1:8 to 1:12. ​Face masks are required all times in the in-person classes, even if vaccinated. All chess equipment will be sanitized at least twice daily. There are also air purifiers in the room that can clean up and refresh the air in 15 minutes.

The assessment test generally takes 30-45 minutes per subject and is used in determining a student's course plan. The test fee is $25 per subject, which is credited towards registration upon enrollment. This test is required only for placement in our Enrichment and Beginners in Class programs.

We will review test results with you and discuss learning needs and goals for your child. After selecting a course and schedule, your child will be ready for the next class.
