Futures Academy and Fusion Academy were both founded by passionate educators in California with a vision that one-to-one teaching was the best way for students to learn.

In 2007, Fusion Education Group was founded with a vision to help change education through personalization. Later that year the first Fusion Academy campus was replicated and has now grown nationwide.

In 2020, Futures Academy joined Fusion Education Group, strengthening our nationwide network of schools.

While campus names may be changing, our mission has not. Coding takes practice, and we believe getting kids to code consistently throughout the year is the only way they'll really learn to code. theCoderSchool has a staff of hundreds of Code Coaches all around the country, so we know a thing or two about mentoring students in computer science. That's why our after-school coding classes for kids revolve around this relationship, providing a long-term mentor in a Code Coach to teach kids to code, from someone who's an expert coder themselves. Conveniently located near great schools like Oak Valley Middle School and Deer Canyon Elementary School, theCoderSchool North San Diego sits Northeast of San Diego between 4S Ranch and Carmel Valley.
