On behalf of the U.S. Department of State, the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is pleased to provide passport acceptance services by appointment only.

Please note that the U.S. Department of State is experiencing lengthy processing delays for passport applications. Currently, it can take several weeks from the day you submit your application to receive your passport. For information about timelines, please visit the Department of State's website.

Appointments can be booked for only up to two weeks in advance.

Inability to select a date and time means that there are no timeslots available or we are fully booked for the next two weeks. Please keep checking the appointment link for any cancellations or additional openings.

Please review the documents required by the U.S. Department of State. Applicants must be present with a fully completed passport application and documents at the time of their appointment or their appointment will be rescheduled to the next available appointment date. In order to provide excellent customer service and meet all requirements of the passport application process, incomplete applications or late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

For people conducting business at the County Administration Center, free three-hour public parking is available in marked spaces in the underground parking garage located on Ash Street, between Pacific Highway and N. Harbor Drive. There is also metered street parking surrounding the building.

If you are traveling in less than 2 weeks, you can make an appointment to apply in person at the San Diego Passport Agency. To make an appointment, customers are required to have an appointment, pay an additional expedited fee AND to show proof of immediate international travel.
