The Mission of Pacific Health Educational Center is committed to providing quality education and training programs, that will prepare students to develop the necessary nursing skills and knowledge they need in patient care. The training programs are designed to foster opportunities for learning, self-discipline, proper attitude, and the ability to meet employer expectations

Our Accelerated Nursing Assistant (CNA) program follow the CA State approved CNA Curriculum, and is designed to teach students the Basic Nursing skills, the Principles of Care and the knowledge necessary for resident/patient care, in a Long-term care facility, Hospital and other Healthcare settings. The CNA program has 8 days of Theory lecture and 14 days of Clinical training or 176 total hours.

Upon Program completion and passing of our School Finals, the student will be eligible to take the CA State Certification Exam, which is conducted in our school. After passing both Written and Skill/Manual competency tests of the State Exam, a CNA license will be issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and the Certified Nurse Assistant's name will then appear in the CDPH website database -https://www.cdph.ca.gov/

Our Home Health Aide program is built upon the knowledge, skills and abilities that individuals possess as a CNA - which is to provide personal assistance and basic nursing care to patients in their home. It is designed to prepare CNA’s for certification, as well as the knowledge and skill to function as a Home Health Aide in Healthcare facilities, Home Care, Home Health Agencies and Hospice.

Upon completion of the required 40 hours, a Certified HHA license will be issued by CDPH, and the student will be certified to work in Home Health and Hospice cases. In addition, the student will also be receiving a CA Caregiving certificate.

Completing the HHA program will also give CNAs - 26 CEU credit hours for CNA license renewal.

CNAs are required to have a total of 48 credit hours of Continuing Education Units (CEU) or In-Service training to renew their CNA license. Ideally CNAs should have 24 CEU credits per year, but a minimum of 12 CEU credit hours (out of the 48) should at least be completed within the 1st year of the license. Then the remaining CEUs are to be completed within the 2nd year (or last year) before the CNA license expiration date.

The CDPH Approved CEU Provider will then issue a CEU Certificate for the CEU credit hours gained, towards the CNA license renewal.
