4worldlovers: Stefan Roos, a classical guitarist born in Locarno, Switzerland, has performed solo and chamber music in the United States, Switzerland, France and Italy.

Mr. Roos began studying classical guitar at the age of 8. Over the course of his career, he studied in Paris, New York and San Francisco with some of the world’s most preeminent Classical Guitarists. Among others, he studied with Alberto Ponce in Paris and with Grammy Award-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin at The Juilliard School in New York where he graduated with a Graduate Diploma. Before graduating from the Post Graduate program PSD at SFCM in 2011 he won 4th prize at the Portland International Guitar Competition.

In 2015, he taught at the Music School “SPML” in Locarno, Switzerland. In the United States, Stefan Roos has performed, among other venues, solo and chamber music at the at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Today, Stefan Roos resides in La Jolla, California where he teaches privately.

Competition and Awards are a fun way to encourage learning and practice. This is an excellent way to keep practice enjoyable and keep parents, teacher, and students smiling. Each month, teachers nominate a student who has displayed excellent progress and effort in their music training. From May to August, students are encouraged to participate in our Summer Olympics practice competition.

Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons. All you need to bring is your instrument.

7. Free music recitals at the A Dawn Of Music Studios showcase!

Our music school offers free recitals with a grand Steinway piano in a first class professional recital hall.

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.

Many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. We hold these at our San Diego Studio location in the Recital Hall, as it has a grand Steinway piano and world class acoustics.

For our students these recitals are free and unlike many schools in San Diego, we do not charge recital participation or admission fees.

You are encouraged to bring your family and friends to the show for free to share in the fun!

We offer full time professional customer service for our students Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM. Our music office staff is available Monday to Thursday 11 AM to 7 PM.

Due to its central location, our school is convenient to all areas of San Diego. Close to our school, you will find the convenience of the trolley, and the beautiful Bay Park with a playground and hiking trail. Our location is convenient, and we have many students from La Jolla, University, Mission Valley, La Mesa, and Chula Vista.

We offer student discount cards for our students which saves them money all throughout the year.

Every year, we host a free picture day with a professional photographer. This is a service that our student's parents love as they all want quality photos of their children. Adults are welcome too! Students can bring their instruments to the photo shoot and wear whatever they like.

After a preliminary session or two to make sure you have the basics understood, Mike will start right in on your list, and that will determine the skills and tricks you will learn.
