We also offer drum lessons and group classes for children ages 4 through 12. These lessons are taught by experienced teacher (and mom) Sandi Wilson who specializes in teaching children. Lessons can either be private, where the child and parent meet with Sandi weekly, or in a class setting where two or more children (or the entire family) meet to practice and play. Our curriculum focuses on basic skills and igniting a lifetime love of music. Lessons are available in Kearney Mesa or we can come to your location. Let's get you playing your drums! This introductory course will teach you how to play beats and fills made up of quarter notes, 8th notes, and 16th notes while simultaneously teaching you how to read music.


This course contains the most important thing that I can teach you on the drums. If you only learn one thing from me, let it be this.


These 9 beats are EVERYWHERE. In this course we're going to learn them, expand on them, and play them in a song.


The Grid is the key to unlocking your abilities on the drums. There will be a lot of chapters here, don't be intimidated by that. Keep The Grid in your practice routine and enjoy the struggle/journey. When it clicks, you'll understand its value.


This course continues your rhythmic education by introducing triplets, 16th note triplets, and 32nd notes. We'll then take the 5 subdivisions you now know and put them into The Subdivision Ladder, a system that will expand your playing dramatically.
