The area's naval base, scenic coastlines, unbeatable weather, and unique dining experiences are just a few of the factors that drive a significant majority of the approximate 1200 graduate students and 150 undergraduate students to begin their careers and call San Diego home upon graduating. As a noted biotechnological, medical, and military hub, San Diego gives Alliant students a variety of internship and career opportunities to choose from.

Nestled between the beaches and mountains, the San Diego campus rests on the tree-lined hillside of Scripps Ranch. Conveniently situated just off Interstate-15, you can take a short drive to explore either the beach, downtown, or the mountains.

Dr. Adams has a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.), in educational psychology. Dr. Adams is an associate professor and the system-wide program director for the online Psy.D. in educational psychology program.

Dr. Adams has worked in community mental health settings, private practice and in public schools in California. Furthermore, Dr. Adams is a licensed educational psychologist (LEP), a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), and a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC). Additionally, Dr. Adams is a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology from the American Board of School Neuropsychology. He holds two clear pupil personnel services credentials; one in school psychology and another in school counseling. He also has a clear credential in school administration in the state of California.

Dr. Allard is a licensed psychologist, and a well-known researcher and speaker. As the program director, Dr. Allard focuses her research on the effects of interpersonal trauma versus non-interpersonal trauma.

Dr. Allard has her board certification in clinical psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Prior to Alliant, she spent more than a decade acting as program director of the Military Sexual Trauma and Interpersonal Trauma Clinic and San Diego Advanced Fellowship in Women's Health at the Veteran's Affairs San Diego Healthcare System. She has written and co-authored several books, articles, and papers, and has been interviewed for her expertise on both television and radio.

The program director of the MBA program, Dr. Naert has spent more than two decades in education program development, delivery, and administrative experience. He is a beloved professor who focuses on systems analytics, teaching courses such as networks management, internet and web development, and information systems applications.

As president of KinderView.com, Dr. Naert has done extensive consulting work with enterprise companies. He has worked as a systems analyst, curriculum developer, and systems engineer, and holds several degrees.

A clinical psychologist that maintains both a private practice as well as a busy teaching schedule. Dr. Abascal teaches statistics, health psychology, and research methods.

For nearly two decades, she has been heavily involved in clinical and research work on a variety of health-related topics, including eating disorders, obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease prevention. As such, she has held roles with the Behavioral Diabetes Institute as well as the UCSD Eating Disorders Center, and the Rady Children’s Hospital.
