4worldlovers: The Unhitched Ranch is a family run Clydesdale and Texas Longhorn Ranch. Clydesdales and Texas Longhorns have been the focus of the family owned and operated ranch. The Ranch is approximately 40 acres and is tucked away in a very unique area of Southern California and has spectacular views of the local mountains and city lights. This quaint little canyon is nestled between Loma Linda and Moreno Valley, and is home to about 800 free roaming wild burros that visit frequently. Recently we have added a Gazebo that you can camp near or under as well a a horseshoe pit, and tether ball. We typically only open the ranch to one group of campers at a time so more than likely you will be alone with us on the ranch. There is plenty of room for larger groups, feel free to contact us

We had a wonderful time at Nick’s Ranch. Nick was a great host and took us on a really cool tour of the place. Our kids loved the animals and open space. We will definitely be back in the near future. Thank you again for your hospitality.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Unhitched Ranch! The accommodations were great, with a big flat area for our trailer overlooking some of the corrals, water and electric hookups, the lighted pavilion with table and chairs, and fire pit. It made it easy for us newbies! The ranch and setting are absolutely beautiful and feel a world away, even though it's conveniently located. We enjoyed exploring all day and then watching the sunset and city lights from the campsite while eating s'mores. My son couldn't have been happier petting and feeding all of the animals, playing tetherball and horseshoes, and using the playground. Our hosts, Nick and Audrey, were friendly and helpful. Nick made sure we got set up and even helped us dumped our tanks at the end, and let my son feed the chicks and even drive the golf cart (both highlights for him). Audrey answered endless questions and gave the kids rides in the wagon driven by the Clydesdales. It was definitely one of the best camping trips we've been on, and we're looking forward to our next visit!

It’s like a little piece of heaven on earth!! Our family goes there to rejuvenate our minds and bodies from all the craziness in this world. It is so peaceful and relaxing with nature surrounding us. The beautiful scenery with horses and other life is surreal. We love it and go as often as we can. Nick, Audrey and their boys who own the ranch make the experience even more wonderful… they are like family to us!!! It is our favorite place to RV, can’t wait to go back. I can't say enough good things about our stay at Unhitched Ranch. Audrey and Nick are wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Our power cord wasn't quite long enough and Nick brought us an extension. I definitely would not hesitate to come back and look forward to visiting again. What a treat to get to wake up to all the horses. We saw some wild burros off in the distance and heard them quite often. Nice area to wander around and go for a nice walk and see even more animals. Beautiful views!!!

4worldlovers: We are conveniently located in beautiful Live Oak Canyon, just nine miles from downtown Redlands, three miles from the 10 Freeway and five miles from the 60 Freeway.


We are a full service boarding facility, offering excellent service at a very reasonable cost.


We have access to miles and miles of trails right off the ranch. This 18 acre facility is accessible by a paved driveway and has grounds that are tidy, comfortable and safe.


We have two arenas, a trails obstacle course, and three round pens. We have two indoor wash racks with hot and cold water and two outdoor wash racks. We have bathroom facilities and common areas for our boarders to enjoy, including a community refrigerator, picnic tables and sitting down places.
