Eric Foster: The service was amazing. Great recommendations, friendly and all around fantastic. The food was flavorful and impressive to everyone in our group. The drinks were great as well. The dessert was also fantastic!Great vibe and energy. Amazing food. Solid drinks. All around win.

Eddie Lieu: evening. We made reservations ahead of time and had no issues doing so.Parking can be challenging with 1 hour meters in the surrounding area. There are free 2 hour street parking available if walking is not a concern. The H&L restaurant decor is laid back and inviting both inside and out. There’s seating in the front patio as well as the back of the restaraunt. It’s both inviting and relaxing which is pretty cool. Our group of 8 got a table inside and was seated in this VERY interesting horseshoe shaped table that was super wide and quite large. While the design allows a staff worker to easily serve every seated guests around the table, it wasn’t very conducive to guest interaction if they are seated across the table from another. Our server

Sandy Schneider: More than enough food for 2. My drink the Satanic Panic also the best.Don't get me wrong this was good for me but why wasn't this place packed? Other places IMO not nearly as good were. Oh well a mystery for the ages.

Mikel Dohner: We came to this restaurant for a themed dinner and everything was great. The food was delicious. The steak was especially juicy and tender. I loved the crisp skin on the salmon. Everything before the main course and after was just bursting with flavor. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and it will not be my last visit!

Alex Mohr: + back patio with charming + quaint atmosphere+ food was good+ food was prepared quickly+ they have goat cheese• service was perfunctory- tried to seat us on the front patio next to the street. Had to request back patio. Service disappeared for a while, had to go awkwardly find someone to ask for the check.

Amber Elliott: Hook & Ladder always delivers a great food experience! Where else can you get chicken liver mousse on pan-fried thick country bread, with cherry mostarda? The monthly featured shrubs are delightful and fresh. It’s very nice to be on the secret garden style back patio again in this weather.I love reading the whole menu to discover their creative cocktail names.

S Lee: Have you ever tried fondue?

Confessions of a Sharing Freak: , filet mignon, lobster, salmon, chicken

Kristina Williams: was amazing. He took all our strange requests without a hitch. We got so full we took home both half of our cheese fondue, most of the meat and our chocolate course

Will Hodgson: Went here for my birthday. Great experience, we stayed for over 2 hours and didn't feel rushed. The waiters seemed busy but it was a Saturday night. The food experience is unique in that you will order some items, like the cheese fondue and the liquid to cook your food for the entire table. Food comes out raw and you cook it right there. Definitely come hungry!Recommend ordering just 1 cheese/fondue platter. It is unlimited items 👊 on just 1. It can add up fast.

Chris Randall: Recommended dishes Big Night Out Fondue Entrée

Steven E: First time going to the melting pot... and it was cool and the food was delicious. It is quite expensive to get the full experience though. Our meal was about $95 a person. Given that and that it's so far away from us... for us it's a special occasion kind of thing. It's very customer involved. Meaning you pretty much do most of the work, cooking your own food and all that, but it's fun to do. If you go for the full 5 course, be prepared to spend at least 2-2.5 hours for the meal... could be longer if you have more than 3 people like we did. All in all if you've never gone, I would go. It's a fun experience and worth it as a special occasion kinda thing for sure! Also if you park in the parking garage, they will validate the parking and that becomes free for you.Parking: It's attached to one side of memorial parking garage... they will validate your parking if you park in the garage.

cody brannon: The wife loves the melting pot. We go here every anniversary. It really sucks they closed the one in sf down . The food is good, the atmosphere is good, I would recommend it to a friend.Parking: Make sure to let them know up at the front about parking they give you a scan code to pay for your parking.

Thomas Whitley: , with flavors that harmonized like a sweet symphony. The atmosphere was electric, with a vibe that was both lively and intimate.Honey at the Trapcat has won me over with their exceptional service, creative cocktails, and scrumptious bites. Definitely still the spot for great cocktails and good food.Old review:Megan leads the absolute best team. Terrie, Haley, Crispy, Ramon, Tim, Deryn, Emily. Lumen Marcellana: We came here on a rainy Friday night for couple drinks. Not so busy. Not into sweet fruity drinks 🍹 and I wanted some Espresso Martini 🍸 but, unfortunately they don’t have that 😌 Other than that ambiance really nice 😊 maybe brunch next time.update 5/2024Came back with the Ladies and some foods and better vibes this time 😉🥂

Zina Padgett: First-time experience. This is a two story bar. The 1st floor is a bar which is open at night. The second story is the rooftop with tables and full bar with happy hour and plenty of cocktails. The margarita was good. The chicken wings were tasty. The Brussel sprouts with spread was my absolute favorite! The pelican burger was good, too. Definitely recommend coming earlier to get seating. There isn't a lot of seating if you have a bigger party if you're 2 or 4 there's plenty of room.

Cierra White: This is a cute little spot. Love the atmosphere. The music wasn't too loud. There's seating inside and outside on the bottom floor, then seating on the rooftop. The owner, security, and staff were very nice and friendly, except for the two men who checked in people to the rooftop. We ordered the Tucana Margarita and The Flamingo Paloma. The drinks taste great, and the prices are fairly reasonable, but I just wish they were a little stronger. I do prefer the bar downstairs, but the vibes are great on the rooftop. There was a lot of old-school music being played on the rooftop.

omar johnson: Food is good drinks are too. Friendly staff, great location.Recommended dishes Hornbill Pork Sandwich, Sapsucker Fries, Nest of Curly Fries …

Moi Moi: First off the service was phenomenal I never had to ask someone for help they were always right there and available and some of the best customer service I've ever had in Sacramento. Second the drinks are decently priced for downtown, They don't skimp on the liquor. The bartenders are pretty good mixologist especially when it comes to their specialty drinks. The food was also pretty good, I tried their wings, fried brussel sprouts, their burgers, and their chicken sandwich. All but the chicken sandwich was good, The chicken sandwich itself was lacking in flavor and was one of the smallest pieces of chicken I had seen on a bun. Overall this place has good vibes, good drinks, and good food. I recommend giving it a try, they have a rum based Manhattan that surprised a bourbon and whiskey connoisseur like me.

Courtney Brown: Amazing rooftop spot in Downtown Sacramento. Very relaxing and upbeat atmosphere that’s a great hangout spot with friends to have a good time along with good drinks/food. Service was friendly and the music was great. Darling Aviaty is also a nice spot for a date night with its cool and lit evening atmosphere you both will have a nice time.

Silas was our awesome server, hope you get him if you come in, you’ll feel right at home.We had the eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros. Both sauces were exquisite and the eggs were cooked perfectly ✨Lastly, the facility itself is adorable and pristine!

Bob Schwartz: Overall, it is a good place for food, drinks and service. Parking limited and costly.Wheelchair accessibility: It's available.

Yolanda DePie: Having been here twice I can tell you that it's an enjoyable experience. Both in the evening and during brunch times. With the nicer weather I like the tables just inside of the large roll up doors. You can be outside without having to be outside. I only saw high top tables outside. Not my favorite but apparently many people like that because you had to wait to sit out there. My salad was delicious and the fried buffalo chicken cooked to perfection. The old fashioned I ordered did the trick. They use a nice, substantial bucket glass. I approve.I'll be back soon for more!

D Fano: Fabulous -

Hollis Folts: I've driven by this place for 3 years and never knew exactly what it was with a miniature golf course outside I thought it was some family attraction, but I was wrong wrong this place rocks I walked inside as a 60 year old man and was engulfed in rock and roll surrounding me from growing up in the '80s I won't make this a long review but it was wild inside I was very impressed very much like a concert stage inside with the lighting great bar lots of beer choices very good food if you haven't been there you should experience it at least once and then rent a putter and go out on the golf course.

Kristyne Van Skike: Delicious food and fun time. The music was hard metal and it was very, very loud. Hard to talk among people at our table. They turned it down a bit when we asked.Kid-friendliness: Fun mini golf.

Chuck B: Burgers are 🔥 great service, super cool atmosphere. Monty was out server, great guy.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

Sweet Ness: This is our favorite place for a fancy date night. We’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. Andrea is the best staff there, he’s so attentive and knows the food/drinks very well. Have tried many other places in Sac but we keep coming back because their service and food is hard to beat. First class service since you walk through the door!

Kathy Engle: We are putting The Firehouse on our rotation for sure. Thank you!

Pam B: and butter were very good. The smoked appetizer they had us taste was very good. Staff were attentive and quick. It took a long time for our orders to arrive though. Food was good. I had the spinach ravioli with ricotta and goat cheese, topped with asparagus, tomatoes, etc. Tasted great but note it’s a small serving. I also had the beets and cheese salad which had a very interesting presentation. The dining area felt very inviting though it could get loud. Beautifully presented and delicious desserts - tried the coconut panna cotta with strawberries and the honey black sesame cheesecake. The cheesecake was our fave.

Bruce Fong: The restaurant is a very comfortable feeling place that seems like a cozy cottage. The ceiling is wood and the place is roomy. The staff are all very friendly and pleasant to talk to. They work smoothly to get the food to you out and answer plenty of questions. The food seems to be seasonal so you can not expect favorites to stay each time. For example on the website they advertise a roasted pineapple dessert but going into the restaurant they have a strawberry terrine. I really enjoy the seasonal food. It is tasty and inventive. The pea salad and desserts stand out as the most unique foods and very good to eat.Parking: The parking is on the street and was very full at 6 pm so I had to park a block away.

Chett Garcia: Delicious food, fresh ingredients and great energy in the place. For a really nice day or celebration, it is perfect!

Matthew Steinwert: Food was amazing and the services was outstanding.Very attentive staff and great at getting the food out and cleared quickly.Food tasted great. We were blown away by the bean dish. Couldn't belive beans could taste so good.

Raquel Bickford: I have been wanting to go to Canon for years and finally made it out to Sacramento for my birthday. The ambiance, food, and service were absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back! Definitely try the tots, whole fish, and the Chai Again cocktail. Chefs kiss!Dietary restrictions: They had a ton of gluten free options!
