River City Rowing Club: what do users think?

Kathleen Naganuma: Local rowing club with well developed junior and masters rowing programs.Summer programs to Learn to Row. Rowsist rowing program for cancer survivors.Strong community that focuses on rowing for life.

Zachary Stelly-Riggs: Love getting out on the water and watching the sunrise during my workout.

Richard Schafer: I have Two boys on the rowing team and they absolutely love it. Outstanding coaches, welcoming community, and their fitness levels are through the roof.

Jovaughn Gonzales: i did rowing whene i went to yale

Earl Sanders: Great way to exercise and meeting great folks

Laurel Tamariz: There鈥檚 a reason this club gets such high reviews. It鈥檚 LIFE CHANGING.I started rowing because I was in a slump. I just felt ... blah. And needed something to shake thing up.Whenever I鈥檇 walk on the levy, I鈥檇 see these graceful boats gliding along the water with a rhythmic clunk of their oars. The rowers were lean, muscular, and obviously totally focused. It stirred something inside. On a whim a few years ago, I signed up for their New Year鈥檚 Rowsolution class. Best thing I鈥檝e ever done for myself as an adult.Within weeks I鈥檇 fallen in love with the intensity of the workout. Even though I was overweight and out of shape, the coaches did a great job of empowering me to do my best. Fun fact: while it LOOKS easy, rowing is one of the most demanding sports and rowers are often considered the fittest athletes on earth.Within months I鈥檇 slimmed down and added muscles I didn鈥檛 know existed. Started to compete at regattas with the novice team. Made news friends. Gained confidence. And 馃く became a morning person! Practice starts at 5 or 6 am! You get used to it, really.I鈥檓 now on the advanced team and we managed to stick together through the COVID crisis. Which says a lot about the environment the club creates.It鈥檚 NOT a cheap sport, but it鈥檚 worth every penny. I feel 10 years younger. Sign up for one of their intro programs and be prepared for the best exercise of your life.

Elliott Gough: Row here frequently. Great place.

Shamara鈥橤iana P-B: I'll be there this season!!!

Rick Marsana: Very cool place great views

Wendy Nordstrom: Ms. Holly is the most patient teacher ever! And the location is lovely.

Jane Turner: Head of the Port and River City Rebellion! Both fun races run by very cool people. At HotP the regatta director was kind enough to answer all the questions my novice bow seat had, starting with, "has anyone died?"The course gets pretty badly windblown. They have a lot of docks though, so you don't have to wait to launch or dock, which is such a rarity, haha!

Barge Canal Access | Port of West Sacramento: what do users think?

Andre Johnson: Looks very nice to go fishing at or to walk around. I was there last weekend. Saw a person catch a knife striped bass. I believe it was but it was a little small. Unable to keep but very clean..

Rose Money: The Barge is one of the best walking paths. You never know what or who you will see on this path. It is an interesting path.

Dorena G.: This is a frequent place for people to recreate - canoeing, kayaking, bird watching, fishing from the shore or boat, walking, running, bike riding, and dog walking. A large portion of the pathway is paved, but then it turns to gravel. It's a very pretty walk along the Deep Water Ship Channel. You can sometimes see the large barge ships harbored in the West Sacramento Port. I caution not to walk the trail alone, especially women and children because sometimes there are homeless people there.

Robert Cummings: lovely seeing this place again!!!!!

Liam Gray: Easy access and plenty of parking. Great for fishing and kayaking.

Shiroha Saika: Really quiet place for fishing!

Haas Jacinto Martinez: Place is well kept up

Justin John Hagon: Quiet nature trail along the deep water channel. Fishing canoeing or just walking your 4 legged friend it's a nice get away in the city.

Kevin Her: Fishing

Omar Mejia: Nice and peaceful

David: Nice Place I Wish The Locks Were Still Open.

De: Great place to walk with dogs.

Stephen Bakken: Very lovely walk.
