William B Pond Recreational Area: what do users think?

Allora Domani: This is a very beautiful park with bike and walking paths, lots of river and a pond. You have a few parking areas depending where you want to be and it's very scenic and beautiful here. There are lots of picnic areas and BBQs, facilities are near all the seating areas and plenty of birds and wildlife. You can definitely still find some space for yourself in this nice, big park.

Bruce S.: This is one of the most beautiful spots on the American River for an afternoon walk, picnic or bike ride. It's also a great place to just sit by the river and enjoy the wildlife while taking in the incredible scenery. This area is definitely one of the "jewels" of the Sacramento area.

Musa Abdullahi: Beautiful and relaxing environment.... If you're looking for a quick getaway this could be it

Ceci Fernández: My kid’s love this park because it has a beautiful river, and the walking trails are nice too.

Purna Purna: I really love the wildlife and serene experience in this area. Bikers think they own the paved trail and can be rude sometimes trying to side swipe pedestrians. As long as you veer to the left after the bridge towards the river, you can avoid the cyclists. Other than that, spring has sprung with tons of butterflies drinking nectar from wildflowers, turkeys/hens, Jack rabbits, hawks, vultures, squirrels, lizards, deer and coyotes! The experience is magnificently peaceful just minutes from the city! $6 parking.

Hey Hey: Pleasant and safe.

Rafael Diaz: Kids love hanging out here and it’s a reasonable bike ride. River has been high due to the rains.

William Hines: Wish less people knew of this park THE GARBAGE LEFT BEHIND IS GROSS AND POINTLESS

Matthew Morgan: Beautiful. Has a bridge that crosses between the end of Arden and into Rancho Cordova. Great fishing spots, gorgeous views and plenty of wildlife such as birds, geeze, ducks, and more.

Winston Howl: I live very close to this park and I go there twice a day once in the morning and once in the evening I have a dog that loves it there so we go so we get out and relax park is beautiful I absolutely love it there so relaxingBut I have one issue with it there are a bunch of people who don't respect the park at all they come in large groups and leave there trash all over the place they have absolutely no respect for the park at allAll the park rangers are worried about is u better make sure you pay the park entrance fee other then that they don't care about the mess people make the group of people don't watch there kids they go pee we're ever there standing when the bathroom is rite there and they let there little boys go inside the girls bathroom it's totally unexcusable my wife had to ask the boys to get out so she can go to the restroom and they told her to shut up parks and recreation need to do something about it

Hermine Herm: Whats time its close its safe for walking at 8pm till

L: The wild life is breath taking. As I gaze at the experienced tree's telling a thoughtful story. The story was peaceful and clearly fragrant, as the sounds mellowed throughout my mind. Nature is my best friend.

Thomas Grau: Oak trees in the Austin Carroll Grove took a beating during the 2022/2023 winter. Sorry to see such majestical, grand old trees struggling.

virginia vimbela: Loved the dog park and the beautiful trees.

CeeCee Coleman: Cute little park to have lunch.

Kenneth “Jerky Man” Bates: Pretty cute for a fairly small Park lovely large Oaks though that's what won my heartRestrooms: Very small and one only but decently maintained

Rich Andres: Peaceful

Cosette Ch: I love this park in all seasons. It is small and calm. The oaks are so old and you can have an amazing photoshoot there.

Vanessa Murillo: Hoping they get this fixed soon! The city did not have an idea about it :( Great park for events.Picnic area: Demolished

King Edward: Best place to take pictures, the natural lighting is excellent!

Don Gibson: Pocket of ancient trees in the suburban landscape

Graggo: Absolutely one of the nicest parks to spend some time either basking in the sun or chillen in the shade on a fresh field of green grass you can put up your volleyball net or anything else there's a bbq area with several tables under a roof there's good water access and clean restrooms and more drinking fountains .the oak trees are just absorbing in there beauty .just across the level is the Sacramento river along with a few restaurants and across the street there's apt buildings where the folks are quite and nice as well as clean landscaping. A few homeless come and go to fill there water jugs and or meet someone for a break in the shade it's a well mixed park .one older gal stays in her car with her nice behaving poodle she's quite as well. Good place for a group function open from dusk to dawn with plenty of parking . Two thumbs upper from graggo!!

Erik Webb: There's a bando out there...SUPER SPOOKY.

Xochitl Domínguez: Picnic area: Tiene varias mesas con bancas en la parte exterior. Y en la parte superior también. Y en el salón pude decorar y poner mesas deacuerdo a sus necesidades .

Chris McGreal: Overall, it was a very nice facility. The lodge is well maintained. The peacocks are fun to look at it, they are all over the place. The grounds need a little attention, but it may just be coming into spring and that they haven't started the winter clean up yet.The only thing that I am not a fan of is the drive in, there are homeless people living in the wooded area out in front.

Rochiene Smith: Very beautiful ParkRestrooms: The restrooms and showers are very cleanDog-friendliness: Any dog friendlyPicnic area: Has great picnic areas

Claire Meler: Stunning and well maintained park, with bald eagles and peacocks. You can't go wrong with that.

Edson Holmes: Nice small park, grounds are well maintained. They are trying to have mostly native plant groupings for education & enjoyment. It is listed as a camp, but they have no sites, and the park is only open for day use. They have picnic tables, but no facilities available unless you make reservations. Bring your own food and drinks as the park is isolated with no easly accessible supplies.

Ruth Ann McKalip: Beautiful place for a spring wedding. Big room, nice covered porch. Small service area with a sink and a fridge.

Homer Simpson: Scary

Marsha Menzel: Chickens happy to see visitors

Gail Fiock: What an amazing place to spend family time.Restrooms: Clean - with changing area as well as diaper changing area in both bathrooms was convenient.

Joe Stapp: Restrooms: Great place for a.pit stop

Brandon Green: We had our wedding here and it was a perfect venue for us. A nice quiet pocket of Sacramento next to the river that let's you forget you're in the city. There's a beautiful courtyard with upgrade options including string lights. The inside of the logged was great for our reception with enough tables and seating provided by the venue for 60 people easily. More guests than that would require additional tables to be brought in. The price is fantastic and it's a very laid-back and relaxed venue for events.

Mirna Juarez: Beautiful place

Judith Mopalia: There's now a native plants program here, with sales in the spring and fall. Good quality plants, reasonably priced. Get on the mailing list to find out!
