Went in during the day to check out the laptops since I recall BB having a relatively decent selection on display. Went in and there were no employees around anywhere to ask for help. Went over to the desk and was checking out the open box selection in the cage. Funny enough, it's located behind the desk in an area guests are not supposed to be in. How do you check out that selection? A very rude woman who was working there gave us a stern scolding and said we weren't allowed across the line to even be close enough to read what might be in that cage. Cool, I guess we'll just buy online then? Then we went to check out but there were no employees at the checkout stands either. The security folks told us to go to customer service to check out. We walk over there and the checkout employee there asks if we want to return the item... I mean I guess we could have just done a no receipt return with the item off the floor?? What a strange and disappointing experience.


I just wanted to thank Kennedy for her help today. We had a problem with my husband's iPhone. She was friendly and helpful. Even though she wasn't able to help us she took a a few minutes to try and help and suggested we make an appointment with Apple.


Overall I have always had great service from Best Buy which is disappointing that my experience changed so drastically when I attempted to return a god of war collectors edition that I received damaged. I was informed at the start I was unable to return my item because the seals were broken due to their policy. After waiting for 20 minutes all together while Naomi the manager went back and forth to what seem like she was touching base with a higher staff in management or a more knowledgeable staff member on the matter. I was presented with the option of an exchange when I had asked for a refund. The manager Naomi kept insisting that due to it being opened she could not refund and only exchange due to their policy despite her knowing that the product was provided to me in that condition already. The last words I got from her was that this was all she was going to offer me before she walked away without saying anything else. I waited by the customer service register for another few minutes before I realized she was not coming back and decided to get Corporates Number from another representative and the managers name that had just left. In all I don't believe a customer should be treated this way by anyone in management and it really upsets me that companies allow employees to do this to their customers. I know not much will be done on this matter, but I wanted this experience to be noted as a warning to both the company and any future customers that plan to get service/products from the Elk Grove branch. As for my return I was able to go through the online system and request a return, hopefully that is less troubling as I felt like canceling my membership with the store due to this experience, but I made the choice not to base that decision on this bad experience.

Great experience, associate was professional, knowledgeable and helped locate product including checking inventory and going in back to bring to us. Great job.

Needed additional information on FitBit- is it waterproof? Could not find that out at the display information, clerk said he “only works with samsung products.” Had to figure it out for myself. No surprise, but that hurdle could have easily presented an insurmountable obstacle to others.
