The accommodations and staff are the best.Rooms: Our room was tastefully furnished and had everything we needed.Our room was close to something that woke us up in the middle of the night...not sure if plumbing or maintenance work. Troy Van Houten: Really a beautiful hotel situated on the river. Room was clean and spacious with great views. Very near to Sacramento old town where there's great little stores and eateries. We'll lit walking path along the river board walk. Easy Uber trip from the airport. Excellent morning breakfast selection eating area. C.S. Engeron: This hotel has a great ambiance. It is a good 4 or 5 blocks from the convention center and state capitol, but what it lacks in convenient proximity, is definitely made up for in its character. The political cartoons and quotes that were used as art were hilarious. There was always fresh lemon water in the lobby.The room I was in was extremely small but had everything I needed for my work trip. I used the work desk every day, as well as the well stocked coffee station.Also, the housekeeping staff could not have been better! They were kind and attentive and made sure to ask if I needed anything any time I left the room.Highly recommend a stay here.Rooms: The room was really small compared to the hotels I usually stay at next to the convention center but it had everything I needed.

Joanna Garneau: I had a maintenance issue during my most recent stay at this Holiday Inn, honestly I have had minor maintenance or cleanliness issues each time I stayed here. The difference this time was Chris, among other team members. Chris was friendly and warm during my check-in and proceded to assist me with a room change, despite a full hotel. His response to my concerns made me feel that he genuinely cared about my stay and comfort level. In addition, the evening Engineering team was friendly as well as the bellhop and other front office staff. I was attending a conference the following day, the service staff for the event were also fabulous and kind! Someone has done a great job picking team members for this hotel. Nice work! 👏

April Appah: Noteworthy details: We were so pleased with our stay here. The complimentary breakfast was lovely both mornings. Located right next to shopping centers and many restaurants makes it convenient. Every encounter with staff was pleasant. The room was extremely comfortable and clean with more than expected amenities. Ev charging for our car in premises, and no parking fee which has become very common.

He was extremely kind and understanding of my situation and explained that there are technical issues where the number of rooms available is different between the website and the front desk.Bernard was a consummate professional but also very friendly. The rooms are well-appointed and I like how despite being directly next to the highway, I can barely hear the traffic except as a comforting hum. The beds are clean and comfortable and the bathroom and shower are spacious. I am in a suite and I really appreciate being able to cook for myself in a proper kitchen. Staff have been friendly. Elevators are a little scary but that might just be me. Location is aces, you're right next to 80 and 5, and Walmart, Target, Raley's, and Safeway, plus a myriad restaurants, are within a few minutes' drive. There are EV charging stations and disabled parking close to the door. The free breakfast is pretty good.All in all, this is one of the better hotels in the Sacramento area, and more affordable than anything downtown. Having spoken to Bernard and hearing him out as he explained the situation, I would stay here again. From my original review: I am in Sacramento because my father died suddenly on Valentine's Day, 2024. I had to make an unexpected, 3000 mile trip from the east coast to California to handle his affairs. I am an only child and I am doing this alone with very little family support. I'm stressed, traumatized, and grieving.As it turns out, a few days isn't long enough to close the curtain on someone's life. I needed to extend my stay by three days, and when I asked if I could the woman at the front desk told me to just book the stay and they'd keep me in the same room. My current reservation ends on the 21st, so needed to book from February 21-24. Somehow, between the time I spoke to her and the time I got upstairs to book the room, the hotel "magically" sold out of any rooms on the 21st alone. I went to talk to the front desk again, and she offered to put me in a different room, a regular king—for over $200 more than I would have paid for the same room, had it not mysteriously disappeared in fifteen minutes. I am operating on a tight budget and a GoFundMe, so I can't afford to throw another $600 at a hotel when I also have to spend $2000 cremating my father, on my birthday, later this week.I booked another hotel for those extra days, and as soon as my stay here is complete I will relocate.

Ikram Haque: Great hotel! Great view! Rooms are smallish but well kept and comfortable! The AC was very cold. I guess that's OK on a hot day, but gets really cold at night.Restaurant serves really good food but service can be slow. I had to track down someone to take my order. But the view and quality of food makes up for it. Price is not too outrageous!

Sarah Gray Horwood: This is a great Hampton Inn. I love staying at Hampton inn since no matter where you go, you know what to expect. You get a complimentary breakfast that has enough variety in the morning, including waffles, eggs, bagels, fruits. There is always hot water/coffee that you can grab at any time downstairs. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff at the his location was very nice. If I am in the area again, will stay here for sure.

Benjamin Ang: The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable, extremely spacious for what I was expecting. In addition the bathroom was large and although I didn't need it, had accessibility features. The free breakfast in the morning was extremely convenient and was great to get some coffee and some food in my stomach quickly before I went off to work. The location was also pretty convenient, not too far from downtown and there were plenty of nearby restaurants to get takeout from. Overall I had a pleasant experience and would stay here again, especially for the the price point.

Robert Fortner: The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and quiet. The shower had great pressure and hot water!! The location is very convenient for getting to and from the airport. My only complaint is that there are only a few restaurant options outside of chain and fast food. Though you are very close to an In N Out so that got an extra star.

Anony Mous: for airport. Nice shuttle service and although we came back late the hotel sent a Lyft instead for pickup. For the Lyft service the communication was a bit spotty as was unsure when the car was coming and who to look out for. It ended up working out in the end.

Angela Bakkom: Nice hotel room, service and location. We stopped here on our way to Arizona. We chose the location to show our granddaughter the capital of California. The hotel was a nice walk from the capital through a nice neighborhood of old houses.Hotel staff was very nice. The only minor issues was that the room didn’t have a mini fridge and the coffee maker was an oddly designed Kurig style machine. These were very minor inconveniences.Walkability: Nice old neighborhood with many restaurant within walking distance.

We just truly cannot say enough good things about this establishment and their staff. They were our lifeline this week and we are so incredibly grateful!!! They were all truly amazing!!!

Tyler Buer: The hotel itself is nice, and the lobby looks elegant. The room is standard fare, and does not include a fridge. The biggest problem with this hotel is the lack of parking associated with the hotel. You have to find separate parking, the closest one being the garage next door that you have to pay minimum $6 or $18 for overnight. And the hotel does not validate parking.

Considering the prime location, the quality of amenities, and the outstanding service, the prices for the room were more than reasonable. My experience at the Marriott in Sacramento was nothing short of memorable, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.Rooms: My room had a full kitchen suite with a full-size refrigerator a living room couch, a desk and then a separate area where the bedroom room was.Nearby activities: Everything under the sun is nearby. You have the convention center the Golden one center the area they do plays several concert venues. You have the strip of downtown all the hottest nightclubs and bars endless what you have around you.Walkability: It is the best walk ability. It’s right in the heart of the downtown and Midtown border so you are about 1 to 3 blocks away from every single location.Noteworthy details: The complementary breakfast is great in the morning while nothing special. The lobby is really nice and updated and the staff is very helpful.

I can't speak to the price, because my work handled the booking.What I can say is the hotel is conveniently located in midtown, within walking distance of the State Capitol, several government agency buildings and the Sacramento Convention Center, among other places. There are several restaurants and bars in walking distance.My room, a one room suite was clean and comfortable.I used the fitness center on the second floor which was pretty well stocked.

Guillermo and Isabel Ruvalcaba: We traveled here for a CHP academy ceremony and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were kind. A very special pillow was left behind on accident and the hotel staff found it and gave it to our family members that hadn’t checked out yet. That’s going above and beyond in my book!One thing to note though…apparently, no pet dogs are allowed, despite several staff confirming by phone that they are, so pet parents beware! The hotel next door accepts them though so no cause for alarm.
