Matthew Miller: Great service in an old school, elegant, hotel. Location is perfect for attending events and enjoying the vibrant nights.Nearby activities: Park across the street, Golden One center a few blocks away, great dining all aroundWalkability: Convenient and centrally locatedFood & drinks: Great drinks and staff was friendly and courteous

Mitch Couch: What an absolutely amazing experience. From checking in to checkout, everything about my stay here was perfect. The staff was so nice and professional that I'll never stay anywhere else when visiting Sacramento.Rooms: Rooms were spacious and very clean.Nearby activities: There is an amazing park right across the street.

C.S. Engeron: This hotel has a great ambiance. It is a good 4 or 5 blocks from the convention center and state capitol, but what it lacks in convenient proximity, is definitely made up for in its character. The political cartoons and quotes that were used as art were hilarious. There was always fresh lemon water in the lobby. The room I was in was extremely small but had everything I needed for my work trip. I used the work desk every day, as well as the well stocked coffee station. Also, the housekeeping staff could not have been better! They were kind and attentive and made sure to ask if I needed anything any time I left the room.Highly recommend a stay here.Rooms: The room was really small compared to the hotels I usually stay at next to the convention center but it had everything I needed.

Jenna Billig: Great room in a cool old building, felt more like home than a hotel room.Valet parking was prompt- Edgar and Annesia were fantastic, always quick to retrieve the car, friendly to talk to and provided top notch valet service. Will stay again when in Sacramento.Rooms: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …

Amelia Castro: . Our room was clean and comfortable, and the giant jacuzzi tub in the room was awesome. We also got a spa package that melted away the stress of months of wedding planning.

My Tesla Adventure: The Inn & Spa at Parkside is an incredible oasis in the middle of downtown Sacramento. We recommend the "Happiness" room, it sits at the top of the Inn, has sun roof views to the sky, and a gorgeous bathroom + Jacuzzi tub. This is a must stay in the Sacramento area and a top choice for a weekend romantic getaway.

Christina Clark: Great place

Andrew Chapman: This was our second stop on our honeymoon and an absolutely fantastic experience. Our concierge, Sentry, was absolutely awesome. As the rooms were not very booked up when we went, she took us around to see the rooms that weren't occupied. She picked up on how cool we thought the rooms were and offered us a walk-around the facilities and every room was absolutely gorgeous. Our room was the Happiness suite and it was absolutely amazing. We are short, and that certainly came in handy. As beautiful as it is, I would not recommend if you are tall. They left us a complimentary wine which was very much appreciated and the color-changing skylights and the hot-tub were such cool parts of the room. Incredible honeymoon location!

Alisa Sinclair: Loved this hotel! So much charm and character in the entire building. I enjoyed looking around my room at all the different decorative touches. The rooms were all very large and clean. Each bathroom has a jacuzzi tub that was also very well cleaned. Devyn at the front desk was super helpful and made after hours check-in easy. I also appreciated the snacks they left out for all the guests in the lobby too. Located less than a block from a parking garage and a 5 minute drive to DOCO. I will definitely stay here again!

StylzbyInez Griffith (Inez72Griffith): unless you want every-1 in your business & vice-versa! JUST DO NOT BOOK THE ROOM IN THE LOBBY! 🙂‍↔️Our ♡2♡Pre-Honeymoon nights here were very Romancing with the Jacuzzi Tub.The Sterling Hotel Staff were friendly; communicative & compromising [eager to make things right]. JUST DO NOT BOOK THE ROOM IN THE LOBBY unless you want every-1 in your business & vice-versa!🙂‍↔️Rooms: unless you want every-1 in your business & vice-versa! JUST DO NOT BOOK THE ROOM IN THE LOBBY!

Bart Liriano: Well, let me tell you about this Sterling Hotel. This place is something else! From the moment I rocked up and saw that contactless check-in setup with a digital key, I knew this was going to be a sweet ride. And let me tell you, the amenities in the room and all around the place? Total class. It's like they've thought of everything, and it's all done up with this elegant touch. But you know what really blew me away? It's how spotless this joint is. I mean, every nook and cranny is kept squeaky clean, and you can just feel the attention to detail. It's no wonder they've got such a solid rep for being top-notch. And the rooms? Man, they're spacious, and the service is top-notch. Whether you're in town for work or a little romantic getaway, this place nails that mix of old-school charm and modern comfort. Plus, being smack dab in the heart of Sacramento, you're right in the thick of it all.Oh, and get this – if you're planning something big, like a wedding, they've got you coveredSeriously, it's more than just a place to crash; it's an experience. This hotel is meticulously put together and maintained, making it an absolute must if you're in town.

curley curley: It wasn't the best of times, nor the worst of times. A wedding party blasted bass heavy music far into the night. 😠.Rooms: The room was okay.

Raider Ray: Beautiful building, family and I had a great nights rest. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Thank you!

Robert Jones: A nice little hotel you should try it out

Steven Stetzler: . I don't know if you could do a late check in since they seem to have limited staffing and hours at the front, and they had a sign on the door saying "call this number if you need anything." The only downside was the tub was clogged and there is no on-site parking. Street parking was expensive, payment required 8am-10pm. It was $10 for 3 hours and I left by 8am the next morning. There is a garage down the street for $18 a day. The shops and everything around seemed to close around 9pm.

Delta King Hotel: what do users think?

Lucas A: Let’s go with the cons first:Rooms are small. Floors are uneven. Doorways are small. Overhead clearances are low. Water pressure can leave some things to be desired. Parking is not included. You can hear noise from seals and people.Next- this is a nearly 100 year old river boat that cruised this very river that it is moored on. It was salvaged and saved and retrofitted into the hotel that it is now. You’ll be hard pressed to find anything like it. If you’re needing a more traditional hotel experience, do not say on a retrofitted paddle wheel river boat. Trying to compare this hotel to others makes no sense. Judge it for what it is. The bed was comfortable and all staff I interacted with were very nice.Didn’t eat at the restaurant but the bar had a super cool atmosphere and the drinks and service were good.Would I stay here for a month? No. Was it perfect for a night in Sacramento where I was looking for a memorable experience? Absolutely.

Sebastien Grenier: A great experienceVery nice stamp

Ikram Haque: Great hotel! Great view! Rooms are smallish but well kept and comfortable! The AC was very cold. I guess that's OK on a hot day, but gets really cold at night.Restaurant serves really good food but service can be slow. I had to track down someone to take my order. But the view and quality of food makes up for it. Price is not too outrageous!

Joseph Evans: I would give it 5 stars all around but I have to note the bar experience wasn't pleasant and second when I picked my car up from Valet parking today before I left my car was Ramsacked gone thru hood Unlatched gas lid was opened all my Belongings were on the floor. I did make a report. So if the owner could work on those two it would be a 5 star place. Other then that it was amazing. The desk staff was amazing, room were amazing, clean and we had amazing view of the delta. I most definitely will be back I just won't use the Valet parking.Rooms: Clean, cozy and pretty well up keep. I give the room a 5 star all around.Nearby activities: Lots of place to explore like the Museum and all the little shops around and they have train rides. You won't get bored that's for sure.Walkability: Everything was walking distance.Food & drinks: Lot's of amazing food around the hotel

Manny G: Very nice trip back in time

Donny Smith: This place is amazing. The service is A-1. Room spectacular. They will accommodate you the best they can.

Jennifer Michels: Very charming old victorian house w multiple rooms. Lots of stained glass & a big jacuzzi tub. Since the start of covid times, the breakfast was served as room service instead of buffet in the AM. Watch our for the 4% credit card fee on top of your reg charge when paying for your room when checking in. Staff was friendly, room clean.

Maya Lopez: Old Victorian charm. The spa tube was awesome. The breakfast was delicious. Only draw back you can hear everything, every foot step and our bed was super sqeaky. Other then that we had a great experience. Great downtown location just blocks from an outdoor promenade and gracious hosts.

Tara French: Beautiful rooms, attentive staff, very romantic. Will definitely be back

Lexxisz Jay: Its older theme but the service is awesome and location is great but the room is spectacular!!!!!

Jeff Curtis: Great get away for my wife and I, no kids. Comfortable room, 2 person jacuzzi in room, private patio. Great service

Steven M: Old but cool

Danielle Holloman: This place was amazing and so accommodating. Pj and gale were awesome and attentive would recommend and will stay again!

Free Soul Explorer: We booked a last minute Mothers Day reservation here and we sat outside. The buffet brunch was awesome! So much variety. The weather was perfect and there was even live music to entertain us. The staff was super friendly. I didn't know this place did anything for Mothers Day and I am glad I called to check since every other place in town was booked already

tiffany weikel: Great place to stay. We arrived late and the hosts greeted us, gave us a nice welcome, very nice people. The hotel was very peaceful. The neighborhood felt very safe, especially compared to chain hotels in the middle of town. Check in and out was easy and instructions were clear. Muffins in lobby and restaurant up the road, coffee and fridge in room. All amenities worked nicely and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again anytime were passing through.

Greg- A US Army Veteran: This is an interesting property. I would say it is set up more for younger couples that want a weekend retreat to get away from "life" in general. Wi-Fi is somewhat spotty. The TV didn't work as it needs Wi-Fi to get channels.Nice hot tub in the room. Older property but overall it's nice. Rooms have an actual key for the deadbolt. Have not seen an actual keyed room in years so it was like a walk down memory lane. They have a nice bar. Very cozy atmosphere. Walls are a little thin. The mattress was very, very comfortable. I slept like a champ! There is no actual front desk to check in. You check in at the bar. There is a nice restaurant near the property. Food is very good.Food & drinks: Nice cozy bar

George Castro: Thank you Freeport Inn for hosting us and our family for our wedding ceremony dinner. This place is a hidden gem. Everyone loved their food and the quaint environment. The owner Marnie was easy to communicate with and even put out some of her own personal wedding decorations for us which was very thoughtful. I'd highly recommend this family-owned hotel and restaurant to anyone!

Joyce Talag: This is a quaint little inn on a quiet road in a historic part of Sacramento. The owner, John, warmly welcomed us. He was gracious enough to give us tips and respond to our requests to ensure that we’re comfortable throughout our stay. It’s an old country inn so expect the decors to give its character. The rooms, and toilets and baths are clean, and all furniture and appliances are in great working condition.

Kelly Scheuer: We came in for wine tasting and an early dinner on a Friday afternoon. They just opened up for dining Friday-Sunday. It was excellent! The salmon tasted like a delicious home-cooked meal and the burger was great. This is a great spot on your wine tasting journey in the area. Warm and hospitable. Looking forward to returning in November.

Ira Glansbeek: Everything about Freeport Wine Country Inn was just wonderful. Super quiet and safe location, easy check in/check out, and clean, spacious rooms. Extra special shout out to Marnie. She was an absolute gem... incredibly friendly, quick to respond, and is doing everything right at this hotel. I travel through the area quite often for work and will only stay here from now on. 10/10!!

Hillary Lum: We stayed in April and enjoyed the peaceful hospitality, comfortable and clean rooms, and quiet location in the small town of Freeport, population listed as 125, hardly outside of Sacramento and Elk Grove. We chose to stay here because of proximity to our friends in Sacramento and wanting more of a home-like setting. Loved walking over to Freeport bar and grill and driving a short distance to the Sacramento River Bike trail to walk as far as we wanted. Would stay again! And would try the Bistro when it opens!Nearby activities: Loved walking over to Freeport bar and grill and driving a short distance to the Sacramento River Bike trail to walk as far as we wanted.Safety: Clear instructions about locking the overall Inn, and everything felt very safe and attended to. The owners are lovely

Michael pawul: Nice small out of the way. Friendly staff and very quiet. Slight drawback is no breakfast.

Dave Skorupski: Located next to the Capitol Building in the heart of Downtown Sacramento, this is the very definition of what a high-end hotel ought to be!The staff is super-friendly and the service is top notch, from the check-in desk, to the room service, to the wait-staff in the restaurants - all are very polite and positive.Rooms are clean and spacious, with all rooms overlooking some portion of the city. Of course, the higher the floor, the better the view.Vines restaurant has an excellent breakfast menu with large portions - you get what you pay for! Dawson's is a high-end steakhouse and I highly recommend the chicken. The hotel has an outdoor pool that's protected from the public by tall trees. There are also conference rooms and halls for conventions. An attached multi-level garage can accommodate hundreds of cars. The hotel is easily accessible for the mobility-challenged.

John Ritchie: This hotel is really old. It’s been redone here and there and is pretty nice overall. I like the different places to eat at the hotel and the convenience store is also great to have. The pool is fine, but is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. I do love that the pool is saltwater. The room is fine too and the beds are more comfortable than most hotels I’ve stayed in.The staff is really great. I had an issue with the AC being too loud and they came up to my room and fixed it.The surrounding area is okay but homeless people are an issue. Still a good hotel overall.Walkability: DOCO is right down the street so there’s lots of food options. The Capital is across the street which is pretty cool.

Cliff: I was part of a conference at the Convention Center and my company made reservations here. We got upgraded to a suite and had a productive time. The accommodations and staff are the best.Rooms: Our room was tastefully furnished and had everything we needed. Our room was close to something that woke us up in the middle of the night...not sure if plumbing or maintenance work. We did not check into it.Walkability: View of the Capitol from my room. Walking distance to the Capitol, Convention Center, restaurants, and State and Federal offices.

Ryan Huggins: , a cable station, up to 50lb dumbells, some treadmills, and a peleton bike area. The hotel had good water pressure and no lack of hot water on the 14th floor. Despite being across from the ice machine, it was in it's own room and was not heard during my stay. Next to the ice machine was a filtered water station. That was very good and convenient. Nice shower and bathroom with bottles of shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and moisturizer all made with Argan Oil.The area was quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. I did have a couple problems that were resolved quickly. The alarm clock did not work and someone from facilities came up within the hour and replaced it. When I checked in, it was not mentioned to me that the parking was being charged to the room and that I had in & out privileges with my room key. I ended up paying for parking in the structure when I went out for dinner. Luckily I called guest services prior to check out after noticing at $25 nightly charge on the room, I explained the situation to Janice and she apologized and gave me a credit which showed up on my statement within minutes. Top-notch customer service!

Eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, muffins, cereal. Great way to wake up.

Nalonni Madden: but way better than checking into a hotel room and finding used face towels

Wilfred Valtakis: Had a great time, breakfast buffet was super nice and convenient, Javier was super nice and very funny. The trip was for our honeymoon and Lana gave us such an amazing experience on our first night, really made our day. Shailvi Wakhlu: .When we went there was no self parking option available. Valet parking was $36/night and included in and out privileges.

Troy Van Houten: Really a beautiful hotel situated on the river. Room was clean and spacious with great views. Very near to Sacramento old town where there's great little stores and eateries. We'll lit walking path along the river board walk. Easy Uber trip from the airport. Excellent morning breakfast selection eating area. We really loved this place coming from Idaho to get a car from a dealership that we'd found online.Rooms: Clean and spaciousSafety: Well lit area, a few homeless around, sensed no dangerWalkability: Great walking or running path along the river.Food & drinks: Great in-house restaurant and many other local places to eat within walking distance.

Nalonni Madden: We had a tour here and Haley was FANTASTIC. Haley was very knowledgeable and connected with us that was beyond cpnincidental. She knkws her stuff and makes you feel unpressured. We loved the property, loved the community feel, loved the amenities, loved how my kids felt like they belonged immediately. I really had no complaints. The apartments are well kept, spacious. I like that garages are offered. We visited two properties owned by this company and put of the two I'm leaning towards this one. I know I will make the right decision for our family and look forward to what our new reality has in store for us.Walkability: Plenty of trails and space to walk on and off property.
