Susan Stiehr: Four of us enjoyed a wonderful experience last night at Moxie. From the crab appetizer to the mouthwatering desserts, the evening was fantastic. The host, the service, the generous portions of food, and the atmosphere were glorious! The presentation of each course was amazingly prepared. If you want a special night out, Moxie is the place to go!Parking: Going early there was no problem on the street near the restaurant.
WiL L: A moment of opportunity. Don't let it pass you by. One of Sacramento's genuine Gem's. Over 35 year's Adam has given all the best a person can expect in a dining experience as an owner operater. One of the few places left here, where you feel a sense of pride, dedication, and true comfort in the local neighborhood. Nothing last forever. P.S. Love the hand written receipts. How cool is that!

Sahara Suazo: So this is my favorite restaurant when I'm in Vegas. I visited Sac and saw it was in Sac and I knew I had to go. I got the rigatoni a la vodka. Everything from the coffee and appetizer to the dinner tasted amazing. Only negative was that my pasta was not fully cooked. Besides that small mishap, the taste was 100% there. I'll always keep this as one of my favorite restaurants. Also the service was great.
A B: I found this place during a work trip with youth that I mentor. We decided to give them a new experience and the restaraunt did not disappoint. We were seating promptly and had good service. The kids, my colleague, and myself all enjoyed our meals.

Bruce Fong: The restaurant is a very comfortable feeling place that seems like a cozy cottage. The ceiling is wood and the place is roomy. The staff are all very friendly and pleasant to talk to. They work smoothly to get the food to you out and answer plenty of questions.The food seems to be seasonal so you can not expect favorites to stay each time. For example on the website they advertise a roasted pineapple dessert but going into the restaurant they have a strawberry terrine. I really enjoy the seasonal food. It is tasty and inventive. The pea salad and desserts stand out as the most unique foods and very good to eat.Parking: The parking is on the street and was very full at 6 pm so I had to park a block away.

Brett Wenck: Attended a wedding reception here last weekend and was thoroughly impressed. Yoselin helped make everything come together beautifully. The serving staff Austin, Kaiya, Luis, and Johnny were incredible. Always around the corner with a passed appetizer, well-balanced drinks from the bar, and seemless service throughout the meal. Absolutely delicious diner. From beginning to end, I cannot compliment the Chef and kitchen staff enough. Thank you for an unforgettable evening.

Sweet Ness: This is our favorite place for a fancy date night. We’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. Andrea is the best staff there, he’s so attentive and knows the food/drinks very well. Have tried many other places in Sac but we keep coming back because their service and food is hard to beat. First class service since you walk through the door!
Pam B: and butter were very good. The smoked appetizer they had us taste was very good. Staff were attentive and quick. It took a long time for our orders to arrive though. Food was good. I had the spinach ravioli with ricotta and goat cheese, topped with asparagus, tomatoes,etc. Tasted great but note it’s a small serving. I also had the beets and cheese salad which had a very interesting presentation. The dining area felt very inviting though it could get loud. Beautifully presented and delicious desserts - tried the coconut panna cotta with strawberries and the honey black sesame cheesecake. The cheesecake was our fave.

It was busy out front but there is a hidden room in the back that is elegant and quiet.Two friends ordered the salmon salad, one of them spicy. I had a pasta dish which was a perfect portion, and delicious! We each had a glass or two of wine but no dessert. Our bill was around $200.Please hit the "thumbs-up" if this post was helpful.

Mr. Fixit: While I was visiting Sacramento I visited two well rated Sushi restaurants. One was this place. While Mikuni excelled in atmosphere I was disappointed in the Sashimi I ordered. The pieces were not only small in size but they were also the thinnest I have ever had at a sushi joint. For the 8-15 dollars for a 2-piece serving it was a rip-off and left me felt cheated.Putting the Sashimi aside, I did try some Sushi Nigiri which was good as was my Mel Roll. The flavors were good as was the quality of fish.The menu here is enormous. 18 pages. It is a bit much. They also have no less than 3 sushi stations making the goods. Our wait time was reasonable.Parking could be a challenge and the nightly rush starts around 5pm so be prepared. We arrived early and found d street parking but that is not to be expected every time.I am not sure I would come again even though I enjoyed the atmosphere and food overall. The place I went the following day was better in some respects but not as good in others. Keep an eye out for that review.

Carissa Lemos: Love this place. Been here a few times now and its a favorite of mine. Chill vibes great happy hr drinks and food. A nice blend of casual/ formal setting. Perfect for a dinner date and or quick drinks or even a formal outting with family. And the dinner menu is on point. This is little hidden between barwest and harlows but a hidden jem. 🤩

Jim Jamzz: Great asada tacos and chicken has nice roasted flavor as well. The corn tortillas are a bit thicker and heavier than normal, which gives them a lot better flavor. A great place to stop and grab a bite, with daily specials that are actually discounted.Solid all in all, I will definitely be back.

Carol Maurer: My friend and I went to Black Bear Diner in Natomas today. There was a bit of a wait but not a problem. Then we were greeted by our waitress Beth and she was wonderful from the first moment. She brought my Diet Pepsi and we joked that maybe if it was really cold I wouldn’t notice it wasn’t Diet Coke which I prefer. So she put in extra ice and it continued from there. I watched her speak to everyone with compassion. One couple just sat down and she quickly said she’d be right with them while helping the next customer with a smile! She got me an order to go while continuing to wait on us with our current order! I was very impressed by the quality of food but even more by how well we were treated by Beth. We will be back!!

I'm a truck driver who enjoyes black bear dinner for it's great food and service yet did not get this time. In today's world trucking is no longer ran by only the male gender. AReza Ghasemi: Maydoon is one of the best Persian restaurants in California. I am very happy with their quality of food, package and delivery. The Gheymeh and fesenjoon are my favorites stews. Also, as I left with my pick-up order, I was happy to see the crushed pistachio on top of the baklava was the natural green as opposed to that of other eateries downtown whose crushed pistachio is the artificial color of "lime" kool-aid.Service was friendly and quick. Felt very welcome to this "gathering place". Only issue was all the salad dressing, hummus, and must khiar was in my colleagues bag so, had we not had the same destination, I'd have missed out on those with my meal.All in all, honestly my new favorite eatery dowtown!!Atmosphere/ambiance: Simple elegance. Calm. I wanted to work from Maydoon the rest of the day! LolWill absolutely be back!!

Yaldatries: If you're looking for a great happy hour, I'd highly recommend Ella! After living right next to it, months later I decided to give them a try and every item we got was a hit. They have $5 gin & tonic and $6 glasses of wine. The service was also very fast with kind servers. Also now with the nice weather, definitely sit in their outdoor seating!
Paul Erwin: Ella's is beautiful decorated and located one block south of Cathedral Square. They have valet parking for $20. I parked at a meter and walked. Lunch was superb with excellent appetizers and extremely fresh and flavorful oysters. Cocktails complimented the meal perfectly. Our entrees were wonderful. Amelia D took great care of us and she even got one of our party a plates of sliced jalapenos for her Dungeness Crab sandwich.. for the excellent service, food, and atmosphere our lunch price was well worth it. Definitely a great date spot and a great special occasion spot. Thank you Amelia and Ella's for a wonderful lunch!

Claus Weisemann: We had a nice lunch here with our daughter.It was quite busy, but service was reasonably quick and friendly. Everybody liked their food. My wife had sliders and artichoke dip that we all shared. It was excellent - creamy, tasty, not too spicy, but not bland. My shrimp spaghetti were quite delicious too, it felt light and fresh. My daughter had the fried chicken waffle which looked tempting.We will certainly come back.
